DraftKings is the newest platform that offers daily fantasy sports contests where players can win cash. Fantasy sport is one of the fastest-growing activities in the world, and betting on it has become massive. Here we are going to show you how to signup and navigate DraftKings, if you use the link below it will take you to the UK site as there is also an American site.
How To Sign up To DraftKings
When you get to the DraftKings homepage click the ‘Play Now’ button. You will then be asked to create a username and password; you will need a valid email address to do this. All players need to be over 18 years old, and you may be asked to prove your age when you signup. Once complete you will be taken to the deposit screen, where you will need to deposit some money into your account so you can play. If you are a new customer, and it is your first deposit you will also receive bonus credit, once you have deposited. To deposit, you will need a valid debit card or a PayPal account.
Picking Your Sport & Contest
You will now need to head to the lobby, if this is your first time you should check out the new to DraftKings learn how to play section. You will then need to pick which sport you would like to start with. DraftKings has a broad range of sports from; Football, Golf, NFL, NBA, MMA, MLB NHL, NASCAR and E-Sports. I am going to be using the football here. You will then be asked to choose which contest you would like to play. There are four different types of contests; Seasonal, Monthly, Weekly and Daily, with daily and weekly being the most popular.

All contests are priced differently, the higher the cost to enter then the more prize money you can win. While you are getting used to DraftKings, there are a few ‘free’ contests that you can play to build your confidence, but as they are free, then you won’t win any money if you win. Contests can vary in price from £1 – £1000+, the higher your entry fee to a contest then the higher your winnings will be if you are to win the contest.
Picking Your Team & Entering a competition
Once you have selected your contest, you will then need to pick your team, you do this by selecting ‘draft team’. For this, you have a salary cap, which you need to choose a goalkeeper, two defenders, two midfielders, two forwards and a utility man. When picking your team, a list of players will appear like below. At the top, the players are split into categories and sorted by the positions they play in. All the players have salaries next to them, so you can see how much of your allowance you are spending. To add a player to your lineup just click the + sign next to the player’s name, then they will appear on your team sheet. Once you have your lineup you will need to join the competition, to do this simply click the ‘Enter’ button as shown here. This will see you join the competition you have chosen.
