How does golf betting work?
Golf is now one of the worlds favourite sports and players are paid huge sums to win and even just to play in tournaments. With the Masters, The Open and the PGA tour offering huge payouts. Most of these tournaments are televised these days with Sky Sports having dedicated golf channels at certain points in the year. It’s fairly simple to bet on as well. To bet on golf you can pick several markets, such as the tournament winner, in which you just bet on the winner outright of a tournament. You also have three balls in which you bet on the winner of a set of three players playing together; two balls are also similar as you bet on the winner of a pair of golfers playing together. You can also bet on markets such as a hole in one to be made, or players to hit a certain amount of birdies. The pre-tournament (or ante-post) betting also allows you to bet on players to make the cut, finish in the top 20, top 10 or top 5. These days you can also bet in-play on golf and bookmaker have a host of markets you can bet on. This is mostly betting on individual holes or golfers to do set things even such things as a player to hit the fairway or even land the ball on the green. It’s unlikely we will tip such things, but if you fancy a punt, it’s worth a go.
Where do you pick your golf betting tips and predictions from?
We will make predictions for all the major tournaments each year, and we have some huge ones coming up this year. Early in the year, we have the Masters and Augusta National in April; this is often considered the toughest of the big 4 to win, this is a course and tournament that Jordan Speith loves so he is worth a look. Then we have the U.S open taking place in June, this is the 2nd major of the year, this often throws up and bit of a surprise, then we have the original Open which is often referred to as the British Open or The Open Championship, its often n a much more technical course than the American events and missing the fairway costs you much more than normal, the last major of the year is the PGA Championship and is the biggest prize of the lot, its a huge tournament for all and everyone prizes it. Come to the start of 2018 we also have the Ryder Cup with its unique team format with the European golfers taking on the Americans; it always captures the imagination of the fans.
