Skill Level: Beginner
Below we will take you through how you sign up to an online bookmaker. There are lots of options here, and some differ but if you follow this rough guide then it won’t be far off. Unless of course, you are signing up to Bet365. You can check out our enhanced odds betting offers here.
What I need
Once you have picked which bookie you wish to bet with (ours is Bet365), you will need to signup and open an account with that bookie. Normally you will need a valid debit card, your bank details, proof of address, your contact details and some bookie will ask for some form of id.
How to find the sign up page
Once you have picked which bookie you wish to bet with (if you go to our free bets page here you can pick your favourite), you will need to signup and open an account with that bookie. Normally you will need a valid debit card, your bank details, proof of address, your contact details and some bookies will ask for some form of id.
Finding the sign up area
Once you have the website of your bookie you will start on their landing page, so here it is on Bet365, and first you will need to select your language ours is English.
From there it will take you to the home page where you will need to find the join/sign up, again with Bet365, this can be found in the top right-hand corner of the page.
Opening an account
From here it will take you to the open account page where you will need to enter your country of residence, then your name and date of birth, your address, email address, language, time zone and odds display. Then you will need to create yourself a username, password and enter a security question that will be used if you ever need to contract your bookie, finally enter any bonus code you may have although on this offer you do not need a bonus code. Before clicking you agree to the terms and conditions and press the join now button.
From here you will be taken to the deposit page where you will be asked to enter your debit card details and your bank details, this is for depositing and withdrawing, but don’t worry it's all secure. You are now ready to have a bet. Once those details are entered you will be prompted to make your first deposit, it's up to you how much, but most bookmakers have a min deposit of £5 or £10. You will be asked to re-enter your password once you click deposit and you may have to enter some security details if it is sent for verification. Once this is all done, you have money in your account, and you can place your first bet.
