What is a patent bet?
Many of you will of asked the question what is a patent bet? Or even how do I place a patent bet? Well, here we will take you through all that.
A patent bet is a wager that involves 3 selections made up of 7 separate bets. To break it down further the bet consists of 3 singles, 3 doubles and one treble. So if one of the teams in your selections wins you will guarantee a return from your stake. You can still use free bets on these.
How does a patent bet work?
You are placing 7 separate bets in one wager, the 3 selections you have entered are further broken down to 3 singles, 3 doubles and one treble. This means you are flat staking each of the 7 bet. So if I want to spend £14 on my bet it would be £2 per each separate bet.
How to place a patent bet
In order to place a patent, first of all, you must find your 3 selections for the bet. For my selections, I am looking to place a bet on the following 3 football teams to win:
Newcastle to beat Fulham
Ipswich to beat Barnsley
Burton Albion to beat Nottingham Forest
Now I have entered my selections the next step is to find the option to place a patent. You should now be faced with the above options, I have highlighted the patent box in red which is where you are required to enter your stake. The first thing that you will notice is that when you input your stake in the patent box it will multiply your total stake by 7. As explained previously this is because you are placing bets on 7 possible outcomes, 3 singles, 3 doubles and 1 treble.
Once you have entered a total stake that you are happy with click the yellow box which says to ‘Place Bet.’ This will then confirm your bet and will give you a bet receipt once it is confirmed.
