To win the Premier League 2017/18
The Premier League is the richest league in the world, with the highest TV viewing figures of any domestic football league. Famed for its exciting brand of football and home to many of the planets top footballing talents, this season could be the best yet. Last year saw Chelsea win the Premier League. Here is our prediction for the 2016/17 Premier League winner.
The amount of money spent by Premier League clubs, so far this summer has been mind blowing. With Manchester City, Manchester Utd and Chelsea leading the way. There are so many questions to be answered, with Chelsea having Champions League football again this year can Conte work his magic with double the workload? Pep has made wholesale changes to his City squad, after failing in his first season in England. Jose was brought to Manchester Utd to win the title again, and he did well in the cups last year, but Utd will need to be in the title hunt this year. Tottenham finished second last year but have sold Kyle Walker to City in the summer, can they improve again this season? So many questions will play out over the next 38 games. Here at SBAT we are tipping Manchester Utd to win the Premier League title this season.
To win the Championship 2017/18
The Championship looks very tight again this year; it’s going to take a massive effort to fight your way out of this league. The three teams that came down from the Premiership, will all be looking to get back at the first attempt. Adjusting to life in the Championship isn’t always easy, so Hull, Middlesbrough, and Sunderland will have to learn quick. Out of those three, Boro looked best placed, as they still have the bulk of their squad and have added well in key areas. Fulham came on strong last season; they should also be contenders again this season. Here at SBAT, we are tipping Middlesbrough, to make a swift return to the Premier League at 861. Also, we think Sunderland will again struggle this season; we are tipping them for a double relegation at 14/1.
To win La Liga 2017/18
Here we have our La Liga 2017/18 winners prediction. Our Spanish analyst has looked extensively into all 20 teams and this is who he believes has the greatest chance of winning the league.
The race for the title in Spain again looks like a two horse race, with Real Madrid and Barcelona both priced at 10/11. It seems there has been a lot of changes at Barac from top to bottom, so they might take time to settle and adjust to the new life. Real Madrid have looked so consistent under Zidane, as they look for back to back La Liga titles. Here at SBAT, we are tipping Madrid to finish top of the pile again in Spain this year.
To win the German Bundesliga 2017/18
Here we have our Bundesliga 2017/18 winners prediction. Our Bundesliga analyst has looked extensively into all 20 teams and this is who he believes has the greatest chance of winning the league.
Even before a ball is kicked, Bayern Munich are unbackable to win the Bundesliga title. Bayern are 1/7 to lift the title again this season; it’s hard to see any of the other teams getting near them again. We think that Bayern will win the league by at least 20 points, with the rest playing for second. With that in mind, we are looking at other markets in Germany this season. Leipzig finished runners up last season, to do it again this season they are 3/1. We see a lot of value in this price, so this is our tip for the Bundesliga.
To win Italy Serie A 2017/18
Here we have our to win outright prediction for the 2017/18 season. 20 teams compete in Italy's top domestic division with Juventus having topped the league for the last 5 seasons.
Juventus have had the Serie A title, all their own way over the last five year. They are a very short price of 4/6 to do it again this season. The tied maybe changing in Italy, as AC Milan have made a real statement of intent so far in the transfer window. If Milan can get all their new players to gel, then 13/2 looks a health price to oppose Juventus.
To win France Ligue 1 2017/18
The race for the title in France looks a two horse race again this season. After Monaco upset the odds last season, by beating PSG to win the league. Sadly for Monaco, this has come at a significant cost, as the rest of the top European club have picked apart the Monaco team. Due to this PSG are a very short price of 1/5, like in Germany this is too short to back outright. Monaco to finish second is 10/11; we like this a lot more than PSG to win the league.
To win the Champions League 2017/18
The Champions League is widely regarded as the biggest prize in domestic football.
Real Madrid have been the kings of Europe for the last two season; it would be brave to back against Zidane's men making it three in a row. Looking at the Champions League, it looks like it will be the usual suspects in the mix. Barcelona, Bayern Munich are joint favourites with Real Madrid, all are priced at 5/1. From the outsiders, PSG and Manchester City look the most attractive with both priced at 12/1. We think that Real will make it a hat-trick of Champions League titles this year.
To win the FA Cup 2017/18
The FA Cup is one of the most exciting competitions in world football. The biggest domestic cup football saw over 763 clubs compete in the competition last season.
The FA Cup could be a great way, for one of the under pressure managers to win some silverware. Arsenal have won the cup back to back now, can they make it a third? They are priced at 8/1 to make it a hat trick. We think that Manchester City, will be a great danger in the cup this season. The way that Pep like his team to play football, it’s easier to be a threat in a cup competition. We are tipping City at 5/1 to win this season FA Cup.
