Leicester City vs AFC Bournemouth Match Prediction

By Phill Barrs

Leicester City welcome AFC Bournemouth to the King Power Stadium, on the final day of the Premier League season this Sunday 21st May 2017. Both are just playing for Premier League prize money, as they can both finish as high as 8th in the table. Leicester will be desperate to give the home fans something to cheer, after being thumped 6-1 by Tottenham in midweek. Bournemouth have ended the season well and head to the midlands off the back of beating Burnley 2-1 last weekend. Inside you will find our complete preview of the game and all our betting tips and predictions.

Betting Tips and Predictions

I like the look of goals in this match, Leicester have netted 11 goals in their last six home games. While Bournemouth have scored in their last four games. Leicester have only lost once in their last six home games, and Bournemouth have only lost once in their last five away games. I like the score draw in this game.

Leicester City Preview

Leicester have ended the season well, after flirting with relegation which cost Claudio Ranieri his job at last year’s champions. Leicester will want to win this after losing their last two games against Manchester City and Tottenham. It could also be Craig Shakespeare’s last game in charge, as a decision on his future is yet to be made. Leicester have very much gone back the style they played in last season, and they players have reacted well to this. In Leicester's last six home games they have only lost once, and that was in midweek when they were chasing shadows against Tottenham. A win here would be an excellent way to end their fairytale year.

Leicester City Team News

Danny Drinkwater (thigh) and Nampalys Mendy (ankle) have been out for the last month or so and won’t play again until next season. Wes Morgan (hamstring) Andy King (hamstring) and Robert Huth (foot) all need fitness checks ahead of the game after missing the Tottenham game.

AFC Bournemouth Preview

Bournemouth have ended the season very well, and are four games unbeaten. Cherries boss Eddie Howe is now worried about keeping his talented squad together, as the bigger clubs will now be looking at his stars over the summer. An away win would be a perfect way to end Bournemouth’s second season at the top table of English football. A win could up Bournemouth up to 8th in the Premier League, which would be some achievement on the limited resources they have on the south coast. Howe will be looking his squad to finish well and repay the support travelling to the Midlands from the coast.

AFC Bournemouth Team News

Benik Afobe (hamstring) Callum Wilson (ACL) Jack Wilshere (Broken leg) have all been out for some time and are in a race to be fit for the start of next season. Andrew Surman has a chance of playing but will need a fitness test on a knee problem.
