Betting Tips and Predictions

Arsenal’s defence simply hasn’t shown up in their last two outings, with their slow starts costing them points in successive weeks. West Ham meanwhile will have taken huge confidence from beating Chelsea and I can see them getting a result here.

West Ham United Preview

David Moyes finally claimed his first win as West Ham manager on Saturday, doing so in extravagant style as his team defeated reigning Premier League champions Chelsea 1-0 at the London Stadium. Like Moyes’ in his short spell in charge, Marko Arnautovic had disappointed at West Ham since completing a £20m move to the club from Stoke City but will hope he can use this game as a platform to kick-start his Hammers career after scoring the game’s only goal after 6 minutes. After the early goal, West Ham frustrated Antonio Conte’s side, who could not find a way past the stubborn defence, which included a significant change with Adrian keeping his place in goal over Joe Hart. Moyes stated his confidence that it would only be a matter of time before his team got a much-needed win after their valiant performance through defeat against Manchester City previously. Picking up points at home will be vital if West Ham are to have any chance of surviving this season, and they certainly can’t afford to continue having runs of three games without a win at the London Stadium as they did before beating Chelsea. Still yet to win back-to-back home games in the league this season, the last time they did so was this time last year in a weekend-midweek double-header.

West Ham United Team News

Sam Byram (thigh), Jose Fonte (ankle) and Cheikhou Kouyate (hamstring) are all set to miss out here. James Collins (ankle) remains doubtful.

Arsenal Preview

Starting slowly is a habit Arsenal need to get out of, and fast, after a slow start cost them yet more points at the weekend, this time drawing 1-1 away to Southampton. Manchester United went ahead after just four minutes at the Emirates a week earlier, and it took the Saints just three minutes to go ahead as Charlie Austin confidently finished past Petr Cech. Further opportunities for Austin and Ryan Bertrand were wasted as Southampton could’ve been out of sight, with Oriol Romeu crashing an effort off the crossbar from 25 yards. However, with just two minutes to go, Olivier Giroud salvaged a point for the Gunners with a header from Alexis Sanchez’s cross to leave Arsene Wenger’s men just a point off the top four. It has ultimately been Arsenal’s away form that has let them down so far this season, winning just twice in their previous eight games in the Premier League. Fans were vocal in their calls to see Jack Wilshere at St. Mary’s on Sunday and they are likely to be granted their wish on Wednesday after Wenger revealed Aaron Ramsey would be unavailable for the short trip across the capital. Arsenal have struggled on the road in London over recent times, finding themselves without an away win in five London derbies, including a draw and defeat this season.

Arsenal Team News

Aaron Ramsey (hamstring) and Santi Cazorla (achilles) are both absent for the Gunners, while Shkodran Mustafi (thigh) is set to return against Newcastle at the weekend.
