West Bromwich Albion vs Tottenham Hotspur Match Prediction

By Bharath Ramm R

West Brom retained the slim hopes of survival after a 1-0 win over Newcastle at St James’ Park. This was yet another incredible result for Darren Moore’s team. The only goal of the game came from Matt Phillips’ strong strike in the 29th minute. Tottenham returned to winning ways after a 2-0 success over Watford at Wembley. Dele Alli capitalised on an error from Watford goalkeeper Karnezis to score the opening goal after 16 minutes. Harry Kane silenced his critics by scoring a 48th minute tap-in.

Here we have our SBAT match preview with all the best predictions, betting tips and match stats.

Betting Tips and Predictions

West Brom have drawn their last two league matches at the Hawthorns but the importance of winning the game against Tottenham cannot be stressed enough. Unbeaten in four matches, West Brom bring in a lot of confidence into the game. Despite being winless in the last six meetings with Spurs, the baggies have a good record against the London outfit after managing four draws in this period. I would back a similar outcome in this game.

Harry Kane has a stellar record against West Brom after managing seven goals in just six league outings – including four goals in his last two appearances against this team. Kane is certainly back on form and was able to get his 27th league goal of the campaign in the win over Watford. I would back Harry Kane to score anytime.

West Bromwich Albion Preview

A spectacular revival from West Brom has made everyone sit up and take notice, but the revival may have come a little too late for the baggies. West Brom are five points from safety with two matches left and it would require a remarkable turnaround in results in order to get the team out of the bottom three. There is a significant possibility that West Brom may end up winning the remaining two matches, but the team has to depend on Swansea failing to win their remaining three matches in order to avoid relegation. The availability of just one team in the relegation battle with West Brom is one of the major disadvantages for Darren Moore.

West Bromwich Albion Team News

James Morrison (Achilles tendon) and Gareth Barry (knee) are missing from action for the baggies.

Tottenham Hotspur Preview

Spurs were able to reinstate a five-point advantage over Chelsea going into the last three league matches. Mauricio Pochettino’s men will be confident about finishing in the top four, as two out of the remaining three matches are at home. Apart from the defeat against Manchester City, Spurs have been excellent at Wembley in recent times, while it is the away form that has plagued the team. Spurs will also be delighted with Harry Kane starting to show signs of form in recent weeks. The England international has come in with some good performances, albeit not at the same level he experienced a few months ago.

Tottenham Hotspur Team News

Harry Winks (ankle) and Kyle Walker-Peters (hamstring) are unavailable for Spurs.
