West Bromwich Albion vs Manchester United Match Prediction

By Marius Hrebenciuc

West Brom will look to end their winless streak in the Premier League when they welcome Manchester United at the Hawthorns on Sunday at lunchtime. West Brom did well to held Liverpool to a nil-nil draw away from home last time out in the Premier League. On the other hand, Manchester United won 1-0 at home against Bournemouth thanks to an early goal from Romelu Lukaku. Below we have our betting tips, predictions, team news, match stats and odds all in our SBAT preview. Feel free to visit our Bet of the day page to check our best daily tips.

Betting Predictions and Tips

Manchester United should be able to grab all three points here as West Brom are definitely one of the worst teams in the Premier League at the moment. In addition, United have kept a clean sheet in three of their last four meetings with West Brom in the Premier League and I think this will be the case here as well.

Manchester United to win at odds 8/13 with William Hill

Both teams to score - No at odds 4/6 with William Hill

West Bromwich Albion Preview

West Brom kicked off this 2017/18 competitive season with three straight victories, but they have failed to win a single game since then. The Baggies are currently on a 16-game winless streak across all competitions, registering seven defeats and nine draws in the process. West Brom’s sole home win came against Bournemouth in the first home league fixture of the season back in the middle of August. However, the Baggies were lucky to collect a point from their goalless draw at Liverpool last weekend and they are now tied on 14 points with the first relegation-placed Crystal Palace. West Brom have struggled to find the back of the net throughout this Premier League campaign, as they hold the second joint worst attacking record in the division with just 12 goals under their belts. Hal Robson-Kanu, Jay Rodriguez and Jose Rondon have been West Brom’s most efficient players in front of goal so far this season, having scored two goals each. Head-to-head, West Brom hold a decent record, registering two wins, one draw and two defeats in their last five meetings with Manchester United in the Premier League.

West Bromwich Albion Team News

Craig Dawson and James Morrison are both missing through injury, while Gareth Barry, Matthew Phillips and Nacer Chadli are all doubts.

Manchester United Preview

Meanwhile, Manchester United’s Premier League title ambitions ended last week as they lost 1-2 at home against city rivals and current leaders Manchester City. The Red Devils did well to bounce back with a 1-0 home win over Bournemouth at the weekend, but they still are 1 points adrift of the Citizens. Jose Mourinho’s men can’t afford another mistake now as they are just three points clear of the third-placed Chelsea. Manchester United and Manchester City hold the best defensive records in the division with just 11 goals conceded, but the Red Devils have only scored 37 goals in comparison with City’s 52. Romelu Lukaku is the team’s top scorer with nine goals under his belt, while Anthony Martial and Marcus Rashford have bagged ten goals and seven assists between them. Away from home, the Red Devils have been up and down over the past two months, registering three wins and three defeats in their last six competitive away fixtures. Away from home, United have won the last two league trips, scoring seven goals in the process. The good news is that the Red Devils picked up a 0-2 win at West Brom in their most recent visit to the Hawthorns.

Manchester United Team News

Ro-Shaun Williams, Eric Bailly Bertrand, Marcos Rojo and Marouane Fellaini are all doubts, while Paul Pogba is missing through suspension. The good news is that Michael Carrick is back in training.
