Tottenham Hotspur welcome Bournemouth to Wembley Stadium on 14/10/17 as the hosts look to keep pace with the Manchester sides at the top of the table. Tottenham were 4-0 winners at Huddersfield Town last time out, while Bournemouth played out a 0-0 draw with Leicester City. Read on for a full match preview complete with betting tips and predictions.

Betting Tips and Predictions

Tottenham were in exceptional form before the international break, winning four games on the bounce in all competitions. I’m expecting a Tottenham win here, with Bournemouth not having quite enough to live with them on current form.

Tottenham Hotspur Preview

There may be no more in-form player in world football than Harry Kane at this moment in time, as the clinical striker once again showed his class at Huddersfield last weekend. Kane was on fire at the John Smith’s Stadium, putting Tottenham ahead after just nine minutes before Ben Davies made it 2-0 after a quarter of an hour. Kane’s arched left-footed shot - which proved to be the pick of the goals - put the visitors out of sight before half-time, as Moussa Sissoko further compounded Huddersfield’s miserable afternoon by adding a fourth in stoppage time. It’s now four wins in a row in all competitions for Mauricio Pochettino’s side, who have also won all five of their away games this season, conceding just twice on the road thus far. The same success may not have greeted them at Wembley but there have been signs of encouragement along the way, such as their 3-1 victory over Borussia Dortmund in the Champions League. Currently five points behind both Manchester clubs, Spurs will be looking to maintain the same sort of pace as the Premier League’s top boys in the coming weeks.

Tottenham Hotspur Team News

Erik Lamela (hip) remains absent for the hosts. Midfielders Victor Wanyama and Moussa Dembele are both doubts with knee and ankle problems respectively.

AFC Bournemouth Preview

Bournemouth may still wonder how they were unable to pick up three points at home to Leicester last time out as their disappointing start to this Premier League season continued at the Vitality Stadium. Despite creating by far the better chances, the Cherries were unable to find a way past Foxes ‘keeper Kasper Schmeichel, leaving them still with just a single victory from their first seven Premier League outings. Eddie Howe has arguably already established himself as the greatest manager in the club’s history, but will be well aware of the facts that the modern game has little room for sentiment and will be desperate to get a victory sooner than later before questions are asked of him. With just four points earned so far, Bournemouth enter this weekend sat in 19th in the Premier League table, with only Crystal Palace enduring a tougher start to the season. Spurs have hardly been Bournemouth’s favourite opponent since winning promotion to the Premier League, having lost three and drawn one against Mauricio Pochettino’s side, conceding 12 in the process.

AFC Bournemouth Team News

Adam Federici (knee) and Tyrone Mings (back) are ruled out. Ryan Fraser and Josh King (both hamstring) are doubtful.
