Torino vs Cagliari Match Prediction

By William Hall

Two of Serie A's out of form sides go head to head this weekend as Torino welcome Cagliari to Stadio Olimpico Grande Torino. Torino come into this game having failed to win in their last five matches, most recently losing away to Fiorentina 3-0. Cagliari's form hasn't been much better with five defeats in their previous six games. However, they do come into this game after beating Benevento which would have given them a much-needed boost. Read on for a full match preview complete with all our best predictions, betting tips and match stats.

Betting Tips and Predictions

Although the overall form of Torino has been way below par recently, at home, they have still been solid and made it very hard for sides to go there and get a positive result. With Cagliari's overall form and away from being very poor I can't see them standing much chance this weekend. Andrea Bellotti could be back for the home side this weekend which would be a huge boost for everyone in the squad. His goals and attacking threat has been impressive for many seasons and will once again prove big for Torino this season. Here are my favourite betting tips and predictions for the game.

Torino Preview

After going five games without defeat at the beginning of the season, Torino have struggled. They come into this one having failed to win a game in their last five outings, suffering three defeats in that time. It's been a lack of goals which has caused the problem for the home side this weekend and with star striker Andrea Belotti having missed the last month or so, they have been unable to find anyone else with the same presence to help them go out and win matches. At home Torino tend to be very good and have only been beat once in their last five and twice in their last fifteen. They will be hoping to maintain that top record this weekend.

Torino Team News

Torino look as if they will be without four players this weekend with Lyanco Vojnovic (ankle injury), Kevin Bonifazi (thigh injury), Antonio Barecca (suspension) and Tomas Rincon (suspension) all out.

Cagliari Preview

Cagliari have struggled so far this season, currently sat on nine points after ten matches. However, they do come into this one off the back of a victory over bottom of the league Benevento which would have given them a much-needed boost coming into this encounter. Away from home, Cagliari have found it hard to pick up many points with eight defeats in their last ten. It's been a lack of goals which has caused the real problem for the side having hit the back of the net just eight times. With Cagliari conceding eighteen in that time, it makes it almost impossible for them to win as many games as they would like.

Cagliari Team News

Cagliari also looks as if they will be without four this weekend with Gabriel (knee injury), Andrea Cossu (hernia), Fabio Pisacane (thigh injury) and Alessio Cragno (thigh injury) sidelined.
