Ross County vs Celtic Match Prediction

By Bharath Ramm R

Ross County are up against champions Celtic after managing a 3-2 win over Motherwell in the latest SPL game. The home team raced to a 3-0 lead after goals from Michael Gardyne (2) and Davis Keillor-Dunn. Motherwell pulled one back through Ryan Bowman just after the break, while Louis Moult scored in the 79th minute to spark a comeback. However, the home team held on for three points. Celtic picked up a first win in three matches after beating St Johnstone 4-0 at the McDiarmid Park. Brendan Rodgers outfit were able to make it 63 games unbeaten after goals from Scott Sinclair, Mousa Dembele, Steven Anderson (own goal), and Jules Ntcham provided a victory.

Here we have our SBAT match preview with all the best predictions, betting tips and match stats.

Betting Tips and Predictions

Celtic have scored more than 2.5 goals in three out of the last five league matches, and this record is even more impressive when it comes to away games in all competitions. Ross County have been poor at the back with the team conceding at almost two goals per game on an average. Rather than just back a victory for Celtic, I see great value in going with Celtic to score more than 2.5 goals. Even though Celtic have kept four clean sheets in the last five SPL games on the road, this game witnesses Ross County in decent scoring form. Furthermore, Owen Coyle has seen his team fail to score only once in the last five games. I would go with both teams to score.

Ross County Preview

Ross County have been able to spark hope of moving into the top half of the Scottish Premier league 2017-18 table, as the club has been able to use home advantage in the best possible way – picking up three points. Back-to-back victories at the Global Energy Stadium have helped the club to eighth place in the table, but the club’s disappointing away form is a source of concern with only one win in the last five on the road. Ross County’s biggest failings have been at the back with the team conceding 21 goals – only Hamilton, Partick Thistle, and Dundee have conceded more goals. Michael Gardyne is the leading scorer at the club with three goals in 13 appearances.

Ross County Team News

Ross County are without Scott Fox (hamstring) for this game.

Celtic Preview

The new record of 63 games unbeaten takes Celtic to new heights, and it also brings massive pressure on the team with each game. The draw against Kilmarnock is a perfect example of the pressure being put upon Brendan Rodgers’ outfit by this record. Yet, the club were able to pull clear in impressive fashion during the recent game against St Johnstone. This game begins a run of five consecutive away matches for the defending Scottish Premier League champions in all competitions. Callum McGregor remains the leading scorer at the club with five goals in 11.

Celtic Team News

Brendan Rodgers will be without Stuart Armstrong (knock), Patrick Roberts (hamstring), Leigh Griffiths (calf), Jozo Simunovic (hamstring), and Tony Rolston (knee) due to injury.
