Real Betis vs Valencia Match Prediction

By Bharath Ramm R

Real Betis extended the unbeaten run to 4 matches after an epic 4-4 draw with Real Sociedad. Antonio Sanabria’s early goal set the tone for the game, as Real Sociedad came up with goals through Willian Jose, Mikel Oyarzabal, Xabi Prieto, and Diego Llorente in order to cancel out Real Betis scoring through Zouhair Feddal, Joaquin, and Sergio Leon. Valencia were also involved in an entertaining win as they beat Athletic Bilbao 3-2 at the Mestalla. Goals from Simone Zaza, Dani Parejo, and Rodrigo were enough to secure a victory over Bilbao, who had scored through Aduriz and Raul Garcia.

Here we have our SBAT match preview with all the best predictions, betting tips and match stats.

Betting Tips and Predictions

Valencia have picked up just one win in the last five meetings with Real Betis. The team comes into the game after having drawn the recent visit to the Benito Villamarin, and there is a case for more of the same. Valencia are unbeaten in three away games, but they have picked up just one win in this run. It is difficult to envisage a defeat for Real Betis considering that the team are playing well at the moment. I would go with a draw.

Simone Zaza has been in stunning form after taking his tally to six for the season with the first goal against Athletic Bilbao. He has now scored five goals in his last three games, and I would bet on Simone Zaza to come up with a goal anytime in the game.

Draw – 5/2

Real Betis Preview

Real Betis are now completely over the mediocre start to the campaign, as the club have been able to pick up three wins and a draw in the last four league matches. Quique Setien’s team are just a couple of points behind the top three places – despite this still being early days into the new 2017-18 campaign. Betis have been scoring a huge number of goals of late, while the club has also been able to get surprise points away from teams like Real Madrid and Real Sociedad. Betis have now scored at almost 2 goals per game, but the defence is one of the areas that can be improved with the team conceding 11 already.

Real Betis Team News

Javi Garcia (thigh), Víctor Camarasa (thigh), and Ryad Boudebouz (knee) are the players on the sidelines for Real Betis.

Valencia Preview

Valencia do seem likely contenders for the top three places, as the club were able to build on the unbeaten run with three consecutive victories. Valencia are one of the three teams yet to suffer a defeat in the La Liga 2017-18 campaign with Barcelona and Atletico Madrid being the other teams. The club appear to be reaping the benefits for going with Marcelino at a time when many did not see the need for a managerial change during the summer. The move to bring in Simone Zaza on a permanent basis has also turned out to be excellent, as the Italian is now the leading scorer at the club with six league goals.

Valencia Team News

Javier Jimenez (cruciate ligament) is the only player on the sidelines for Valencia.
