Real Betis vs Getafe Match Prediction

By Bharath Ramm R

Real Betis are back to losing ways after suffering a 1-0 defeat against Espanyol at the RCDE Stadium. It was a low scoring match that was ultimately decided by the 55th minute goal from Gerard Moreno, although there was a suspicion of offside. Real Betis had the best opportunities through Antonio Sanabria and Sergio Leon. Getafe were able to get a comeback 2-1 win over Real Sociedad to end a miserable run of form. Mikel Oyarzabal came up with the opening goal after just five minutes, but late goals from Angel and Jorge Molina (penalty) secured a victory. Here we have our SBAT match preview with all the best predictions, betting tips and match stats.

Betting Tips and Predictions

Betis and Getafe meet each other for the first time since the 2015-16 La Liga campaign. The home team has been able to win the recent four games between the two clubs. Real Betis have a strong home record after winning four out of the last five games, while Getafe have suffered just one defeat on the road. Even then, I would go with a win for Real Betis considering the amazing value. Getafe may be favourites for relegation at the start of the season, but the club has been able to score in the last four away games without fail. The team’s only blank on the road came in the away game against Athletic Bilbao. Even though Real Betis have kept two clean sheets in the last three home games, just one of the matches this season at the Benito Villamarin has been with less than 2.5 goals. I would bet on over 2.5 goals.

Real Betis win – 1/1
Total goals over 2.5 – 19/20

Real Betis saw over 1.5 goals in 7 out of their last 10 games played

Getafe have not conceded a goal in 80% of their last 10 games played

Real Betis Preview

Real Betis remain in the top half of the table despite a loss against Espanyol, although the possibility of dropping into the bottom 10 is now quite high with 10th placed Espanyol now just three points behind. Real Betis have been able to enjoy such a lofty positions in the table largely due to the home form. The team has picked up four out of the five victories this season only at the Benito Villamarin. Last season, Real Betis had a disappointing home record after only managing six victories throughout the entire campaign. In this regard, achieving four wins at home even at this stage is a significant step in the right direction. Antonio Sanabria is the leading scorer with six goals this season.

Real Betis Team News

Riza Durmisi (hamstring), Zou Feddal (discomfort), and Cristian Tello (discomfort) are unavailable due to injuries.

Getafe Preview

Getafe were finally able to end a miserable streak of results since the 4-0 victory over Villarreal. As expected, a home match once again came to the rescue for the club. Strangely, however, Getafe have tended to perform well in the away matches after suffering just one defeat on the road compared to three at home. Getafe were expected to struggle upon the return to the La Liga – especially in terms of scoring goals. It has proven to be the case with the team averaging just over a goal per game so far this season. At the back, Getafe have conceded 11 goals. Angel Rodriguez is now the leading scorer at the club with four goals in the 2017-18 La Liga campaign.

Getafe Team News

Damian Suarez is suspended for the match. Gaku Shibasaki (foot) are the players unavailable for action.
