Queens Park Rangers vs Norwich City Match Prediction

By Richard McTiernan

This Saturday evening (17:30) game is live on Sky Sports and features two sides in search of a third straight league victory. Here we have our match preview with all the best predictions, betting tips and match stats. QPR are now four unbeaten in their league following a 2-0 success over Millwall at Loftus Road in midweek. Eberechi Eze netted for the second successive game while Massimo Luongo also scored in a comfortable 2-0 scoreline. Norwich made it back-to-back league victories coming out of the international break as they defeated Reading 2-1. Teemu Pukki netted for the second straight game while Mario Vrancic came off the bench to enable them to take an important three points. The two meetings between these sides last season were won by the home side with it ending 4-1 in London and 2-0 in East Anglia. In fact, the home side has won each of the last four head-to-heads.

Betting Tips and Predictions

These two sides are both in the midst of a good run and confidence will be high on both sides.  I think this one could end in a draw as the pair look to continue their form so this looks the way to play it.  I also think given that both sides have looked good for goals lately enhance the draw price with a yes in both teams to score market which covers any of the score draws.

Queens Park Rangers Preview

The Rs lost their four fixtures but have since gone to win three and draw one of their next four. They sit 16th in the Championship table and the expected goals data has them higher still in 11th. At Loftus Road, have won a pair at home this season and lost a pair with the victories coming in their last two. Six of the nine league goals scored at their ground this season have come in the first half. QPR have seen four of their eight go over 2.5 goals with just one of their last four having done so. Just one of the last five the London side have played in the league have seen both teams find the back of the net.

Queens Park Rangers Team News

Sean Goss (back) is a doubt while Darnell Furlong (ligament) and Olamide Shodipo (thigh) are set to miss the next few months.

Norwich City Preview

The Canaries have had a mixed start to the season with three wins, two draws and three defeats with victories in their last two. They sit 12th in the table with the expected goals data having them a little higher in seventh. Away from Carrow Road, they have had a mixed bag with one win, two draws and one defeat from four. All four this season and 11 of their last 12 on the road have seen both teams find the back of the net. Norwich have seen five of their matches go over 2.5 goals and they are averaging 3.13 per fixture. Five of eight this season have seen both teams score though just two of the five has this happened in.

Norwich City Team News

Grant Hanley (thigh) joins Matt Jarvis (knee) and Carlton Morris (cruciate) on the long-term injured list while Ivo Pinto (knee), Kenny McLean (ankle) and Louis Thompson (hamstring) are closing in on returns.
