Queens Park Rangers vs Millwall Match Prediction

By Marius Hrebenciuc

This Tuesday evening (19:45) game is an all London affair and features two sides in different halves of the Championship table.  Here we have our match preview with all the best predictions, betting tips and match stats. QPR were victorious last time out as they defeated Ipswich 2-1 at Loftus Road in a result that was a fair reflection of the game.  The goalscorers for the Hoops on that occasion were Jamie Mackie and Luke Freeman who netted either side of the interval. Millwall were far from disgraced in going to Molineux and losing 1-0 on Saturday afternoon. They did not see much of the ball but then Wolves will dominate possession against most sides. Three of their last four meetings have ended in a draw including on both occasions when they last met which was the 2013/14 season.  Just one of their last eight head-to-heads has gone over 2.5 goals and just two of the last five have seen both teams score.

Betting Tips and Predictions

Despite three victories from three at home in the league this season QPR are not the sort of side I want to be getting with at short prices I prefer them at bigger odds when they don’t have to dictate a game. Both teams tend to score early when they score so I think taking the time of the first team goal is the way to play this. For QPR this is set at 51:00 while for Millwall it is set at 64:00 both of which look beatable.

QPR to score before 51:00

Millwall to score before 64:00

Queens Park Rangers Preview

Three victories, one draw and two defeats represent a decent start to the season for a QPR side who were expected to struggle. They sit in eighth place and have three of the next five at their own ground. At home, they have won each of their three league fixtures this season defeating Reading, Hull and Ipswich.  The London outfit have netted two on each occasion while shipping one goal twice and keeping a clean sheet in the other. The goals have been spread out this season with Matt Smith, Connor Washington and Jamie Mackie all netting twice.  They have not netted in the opening 15 minutes but 37.5% of their goals have come in the 16th-30th range.

Queens Park Rangers Team News

Jordan Cousins and Joel Lynch (both hamstring) are closing in on returns though James Perch (dislocated kneecap) and Grant Hall (tendon) will be absent.

Millwall Preview

It has been a tough start to the season for Millwall who have three defeats, two draws and one victory from their opening six league fixtures. They sit in 19th place with five points and they have three of their next five at their own ground. On the road, it is 11 Championship games without a victory which dates over two campaigns while this season it is two defeats and one draw.  They have failed to find the back of the net on their travels though have conceded just two times themselves. George Saville and Jed Wallace are their top scorers this season with both players netting two each.  Around 62% of the Lions goals this season have come in the opening half and 37.5 in the opening 30 minutes.

Millwall Team News

They have no registered injuries or suspensions.
