Queens Park Rangers vs Hull City Match Prediction

By Richard McTiernan

This Saturday afternoon (15:00) fixture features two sides in opposite halves of the Championship table. Here we have our match preview with all the best predictions, betting tips and match stats.

QPR made it back-to-back league draws as they twice came from behind to snatch a point away at Rotherham.  Anything less than a share of the spoils would have been harsh on the London outfit who were grateful to Nahki Wells and Luke Freeman who grabbed one each.

Hull picked up a useful point at home to leaders Norwich on Tuesday night in a game that ended without a goal. It does mean they are now three without a win though two of those have ended in a draw.

The Humberside outfit have won two of their last three meetings with the Rs and lost just one of the previous nine. The last three head-to-head battles between the pair have seen a goal netted in the final five minutes.

Betting Tips and Predictions

QPR and Steve McClaren are doing a good job but I was impressed with how Hull played against leaders Norwich and think they are capable of getting something out of this game . This is even more hopeful as they will have attacking threat Fraizer Campbell back following a suspension in midweek.

The Hull man has three in his last two on the road and I think he looks over-priced to net at any time here against an Rs defence that have shipped six in their last three.

Queens Park Rangers Preview

The Rs are in a good run of form with no defeat in three and just one loss in their previous nine. After this fixture they start a tricky spell with each of their next three against sides currently in the top eight.

At Loftus Road, they are going well having won each of their last three and five of their previous seven. They are tough to break down at their own place conceding just four in their last seven.

QPR matches are producing an average of 2.53 goals with the London outfit responsible for 1.16 per of them. Five of their last seven have seen one or both teams to find the back of the net though the last two have seen both teams score.

Queens Park Rangers Team News

Olamide Shodipo (thigh) is their only injury concern ahead of this fixture.

Hull City Preview

The Tigers are now three without a victory but with two of these ending in a draw have lost just one of their last five. After this fixture they face a nice run with six of their next seven against teams currently in the bottom half.

Away from the KC Stadium, they are unbeaten in two though they had lost their five prior to that. Fraizer Campbell has netted three in his last two appearance on the road for the Humberside outfit.

Hull matches are producing an average of 2.21 goals with City being responsible for 0.84 of them. Just one of their last six and three of their last 11 have seen both teams find the back of the net.

Hull City Team News

Fraizer Campbell is available after suspension while Nouha Dicko (hamstring), Stephen Kinglsey (hip), Evandro, Jon Toral, Angus MacDonald (all calf) and James Weir (meniscus) are long-term absentees.
