Norwich City vs Queens Park Rangers Match Prediction

This Wednesday evening (19:45) Championship game from Carrow Road features two sides who have been to the Premier League in recent years. Here we have our match preview with all the best predictions, betting tips and match stats. Norwich will be looking to bounce back from a poor day at the office as they suffered a 3-1 home loss to Sunderland. They dominated the ball but were undone by a counter-attacking team with a 78th minute Lewis Grabban goal all they had to show for their efforts. QPR picked up a useful point on the road at the weekend as they drew 1-1 with Sheffield Wednesday. Jamie Mackie gave them a 23rd minute lead but they were pegged back in the 48th minute and that was where the scoring ended. These two sides have met numerous times in the Championship and Premier League in recent seasons with the Canaries losing just one of their last nine meetings. That came last season at Loftus Road with the London side winning 2-1 while at Carrow Road the East Anglian outfit won 4-0.
Betting Tips and Predictions
It is hard to know what to make of Norwich right now they seem to be both impressive and worrying. They probably could hammer someone if it all clicks but also equally they could frustrate and be undone by a well-drilled unit such as QPR. I could not put anyone off backing QPR and the draw in the double chance market but I wonder how long the Rs can keep this going so I will just swerve the match markets. James Maddison has been impressive in his role as one of two creative midfielders behind the striker and I think he looks worth an anytime play with an average of three shots per game. Luke Freeman is another with three shots per game averaged and the QPR man could finally net here so take him anytime.

Norwich City Preview
It has been a mixed start for Norwich who were full of optimism and hope after a 1-1 draw at Fulham before a familiar defensive frailty returned to haunt them as they lost 3-1 at home to Sunderland on Sunday. Daniel Farke has his Canaries playing a strong possession game which will take time to implement but he must not neglect the defensive aspects also. The East Anglian side have a remarkable 87% pass completion success which is impressive but have managed to convert just 5% of chances created which is not great. James Maddison is averaging three shots per game while sub Nelson Oliveira is producing 2.5. They have won eight of their last ten home matches against QPR in all competitions. Seven of the last 11 goals in fixtures between these sides have been netted in the opening 45 minutes.
Norwich City Team News
Timm Klose (leg) and Alex Pritchard (ankle) are set to miss out for the Canaries as are Louis Thompson and Matt Jarvis (both hip).
Queens Park Rangers Preview
It was doom and gloom around Loftus Road at the start of the season but a strong start has changed the mood and fans are already talking up a play-off tilt. That might be too early but they have defeated Reading and drawn at Sheffield Wednesday both sides who made the top six last season. A feature of their matches this season has been in both they have grabbed a goal before the 25th minute which allows them to play on the counter attack. They are also strong in the air winning 59% of the aerial duels. Conor Washington has two of their three league goals this season while Jamie Mackie has the other. Among the players yet to score Luke Freeman must be the one most due a goal with an average of three shots per game but no success yet.
Queens Park Rangers Team News
Steven Caulker (hip) is nearing a return but the game will come too soon for Grant Hall (tendon), Idrissa Sylla (ankle), Yeni N’Gbakoto (head) and Jordan Cousins (hamstring).
