Norwich City Preview

Norwich made it three games unbeaten in the Championship last time out, after rallying from a goal down at half-time to defeat Millwall 2-1 at Carrow Road. Still one of the most unpredictable teams in the Championship, the Canaries fell behind just before half-time when former striker Steve Morison opened the scoring for Millwall. Despite the timing of the setback, Norwich responded quickly in the second half, first levelling through midfielder Tom Trybull, before James Maddison added to his fledgling reputation by scoring their winner 13 minutes from time. For England under-21 international Maddison, this will be his first chance to impress under the spotlight of facing a Premier League outfit, and he will be keen to show what he can do, having received a number of admiring glances from other clubs. Manager Daniel Farke came to Norwich with the goal of getting the team back in the Premier League, but currently finds his team nine points adrift of the playoffs and ten points clear of relegation in midtable. There have been some calls for the German to be relieved of his duties from the Norwich faithful, but a scalp such as this in the FA Cup may earn him some much-needed credit from the fans.

Norwich City Team News

Marco Stiepermann (groin), Harrison Reed (knock) and Matt Jarvis (ankle) are all unlikely to feature for Norwich.

Chelsea Preview

Antonio Conte will still be wondering how his Chelsea team failed to come away from the Emirates with all three points last time out, after Alvaro Morata endured a nightmare evening during their 2-2 draw away to Arsenal. Jack Wilshere’s lethal strike put Arsenal ahead in the 63rd minute, but Eden Hazard’s penalty levelled the scores just four minutes later. Marcos Alonso thought he’d won the game for the visitors, only for fellow Spanish full-back Hector Bellerin to score a dramatic 92nd minute equaliser to ensure both teams would return home with a point. Had Morata remembered to wear his shooting boots in north London, Chelsea would have undoubtedly won this game, with the Spaniard missing no fewer than four guilt-edge chances. Now unbeaten in seven, Chelsea have enjoyed a relatively successful festive period, closing the gap between themselves and Manchester United to just a point in the Premier League. Losing just one of their last fifteen games in all competitions, Chelsea are themselves a prime example of just how outstanding Manchester City have been this season. With the title race over, there will be even more emphasis placed on the Blues enjoying successful runs in cup competitions - they face Barcelona in the last 16 of the Champions League and Arsenal in the semi-finals of the EFL Cup.

Chelsea Team News

David Luiz (knee) and Charly Musonda (groin) are both doubtful for the away side.
