Monaco Preview

Monaco had an amazing run in the Champions League last season, but they are now in danger to miss out on a place in the knockout stages. Monaco are yet to win a single game throughout this group stage campaign, having lost two and draw two of their four fixtures. The Monegasques sit rock bottom of the group G table with two points under their belts, four points of the second-placed FC Porto with just two games to go. Monaco can count on their recent form however, as they have won three and draw two of their last five competitive fixtures. They have only lost four of their last 16 European home fixtures, with two of these coming at the hands of FC Porto and Besiktas this season. They looked solid on home soil recently, winning back-to-back games over Caen and Guingamp in Ligue 1, scoring eight goals and conceding none in the process. Radamel Falcao has scored 13 goals in Ligue 1 this season, but he only managed to find the back once throughout this Champions League group stage campaign.

Monaco Team News

Thomas Lemar, Adama Traore, Djibril Sidibe, Gabriel Boschilia, Kevin N’Doram, Loic Badiashile and Souahilo Meite are all doubts, but Pierre-Daniel Nguinda is back in training.

RasenBallsport Leipzig Preview

RB Leipzig are in a much better position of making it further in the Champions League at their first attempt. They have endured a mixed run of form throughout this competition, but they still managed to collect four points in four rounds. The Germans are just two points behind the second-placed FC Porto, who have a difficult trip to Besiktas on Tuesday. Leipzig come into this tie on the back of a two-game unbeaten streak in the Bundesliga, scoring two goals in each of these. Regarding their domestic league, Leipzig find themselves in a comfortable 3rd position in the Bundesliga table tied on 23 points with the second-placed Schalke 04. The bad news is that Leipzig aren’t regarded as good travelers as they have only won three of their last ten competitive away fixtures, including back-to-back defeats against Besiktas and Porto in their two Champions League trips this season. This means that they are yet to win an European game on the road, given the fact that this is their European competition debut. Emil Forsberg is Leipzig’s Champions League topscorer at the moment with two goals under his belt, while Timo Werner is leading the club’s goalscoring charts in the Bundesliga with seven goals and two assists after ten league appearances.

RasenBallsport Leipzig Team News

Stefan Ilsanker and Fabio Coltorti are both doubts ahead of this clash.
