Manchester City Preview
Manchester City served up some of the most scintillating attacking football seen in the Premier League so far this season in their 7-2 win over Stoke City at the Etihad Stadium. Goals from Gabriel Jesus, Raheem Sterling and David Silva put City well ahead in the opening 30 minutes, by Mame Biram Diouf’s effort along with a Kyle Walker goal put City on the edge of their seats for a while. That though, was soon brought to an end, as Jesus, Fernandinho and Leroy Sane scored three goals in seven minutes, with Bernardo Silva netting the 7th ten minutes from time. With that victory, City have now won nine games in a row in all competitions, adding to what is also an extremely impressive home record. Pep Guardiola has now seen his side win their last four games on the bounce at home, scoring 19 goals in the process as they continue to thrive from the embarrassment of attacking riches at their disposal. City’s home form in the Champions League is equally as impressive as their current run of form in the Premier League, going unbeaten in their last twelve games at home in Europe, winning nine and drawing three in the process.

SSC Napoli Preview
Few would now doubt that Napoli are serious title contenders in Serie A this season after overcoming another tough examination, this time in the shape of a 1-0 victory away to Roma. The game’s only goal came after 20 minutes, as winger Lorenzo Insigne struck for the visitors following a fortunate bounce his way, finishing like a man full of confidence at this moment in time. As such, this latest success saw Roma move five points clear of perennial Serie A winners Juventus, as well as taking their goal difference to +21 after eight matches. The outing at the Stadio Olimpico was also the first time that Napoli have failed to score at least three goals in an away Serie A game, showing a different side to the way they are able to play and grind out results in doing so. Despite their positive start to the Serie A season, they will be hoping that their result on the opening fixture of the group stages won’t come back to haunt them, having lost 2-1 away to Shakhtar Donetsk. They are a difficult team to predict away from home in the Champions League, winning three, losing two and drawing one of their last six games on the road in Europe.
SSC Napoli Team News
Arkadiusz Milik (knee) is a long-term absentee for Napoli having been ruled out until March.
