Liverpool vs Swansea City Match Prediction

By Marius Hrebenciuc

Liverpool will be aiming to continue their quest for a top two finish when they welcome Swansea at the Anfield Stadium on Tuesday afternoon. Liverpool threw away a two-goal lead to secure only a 3-3 away draw at Arsenal at the weekend, in a match in which Coutinho, Mohamed Salah and Roberto Firmino got on the scoresheet. Meanwhile, Swansea fought back from one goal down to secure a 1-1 home draw against Crystal Palaces thanks to a goal from Jordan Ayew. Below we have our betting tips, predictions, team news, match stats and odds all in our SBAT preview. Feel free to visit our Bet of the day page to check our best daily tips.

Betting Predictions and Tips

Liverpool should be able to get a comfortable win here as their form this season has been impeccable, while Swansea have suffered defeat in each of their last six league trips. In addition, Liverpool have won four of their last five home meetings with Swansea across all competitions, scoring at least two goals in three of these.

Liverpool Preview

Liverpool have only lost once in their last 15 games across all competitions and enter the fray on the back of a 13-game unbeaten streak. They are undefeated in ten Premier League games at the moment, winning six in the process. At home, Liverpool are currently on a 14-game undefeated streak across all competitions, keeping eight clean sheets in this term. Actually, Klopp’s men have only conceded twice in their last eight competitive home fixtures. In addition, Liverpool have won four of their last five home meetings with Swansea in the Premier League, scoring at least two goals in three of these. The Reds currently sit 4th in the standings with 35 points to their name after 19 rounds, just four points of the third-placed Chelsea. Mohamed Salah is the Premier League’s joint top scorer with 15 goals and three assists under his belt after 19 league appearances. Roberto Firmino and Coutinho have also enjoyed a decent campaign, as the pair bagged 13 goals and nine assists between them.

Liverpool Team News

Joel Matip, Adam Bogdan and Jordan Henderson are all doubts, but Alberto Moreno and Nathaniel Clyne are both missing through injury. Daniel Sturridge and Marko Grujic are both back in training.

Swansea City Preview

Swansea, on the contrary, had a season to forget so far as they are rock bottom of the Premier League table with just 13 points after 19 rounds, four points behind safety. The Swans have only won one of their last twelve league outings and enter the fray on the back of a three-game winless streak. Scoring goals have been Swansea’s main issue throughout the season as they hold the worst attacking record in the division with just 11 goals in 19 games. Tammy Abraham has been Swansea’s most in-form player throughout this campaign as he is leading the club’s goalscoring charts with 4 goals in 18 appearances. Swansea’s recent away form has been terrible as they are currently on a six-game losing streak in the Premier League, scoring just three goals in the process. The only good news is that Swansea picked up a 2-3 victory in their most recent visit to Anfield. Head-to-head, Swansea have won two of their last three meetings with Liverpool in the Premier League.

Swansea City Team News

Leon Britton, Sung-Yueng Ki and Leroy Fer are all doubts, while Bony Wilfried is out through a hamstring injury.
