Levante vs Getafe Match Prediction

By Gary Gillles

Levante were able to earn a respectable goalless draw with Espanyol during the weekend. The home team had some excellent opportunities with Gerard Moreno having an effort cleared off the line and Espanyol also striking the bar with a long-range effort. Getafe fell to a second consecutive loss, as Real Madrid were able to get a 2-1 win during the weekend. Karim Benzema’s opening goal was cancelled out by Jorge Molina just after half-time. However, Cristiano Ronaldo came up with a late goal to provide three points for the European champions. Here we have our SBAT match preview with all the best predictions, betting tips and match stats.

Betting Tips and Predictions

The recent home meetings against Levante have seen Getafe take advantage with a couple of wins, but the team has struggled on the road against this team. Getafe’s last away victory over Levante was back in 2012 and they have since been involved in four draws in the last five games. Getafe have drawn two of the four away matches this season, while Levante have lost just once at home this season. I see value in going with a draw. The last three games have seen Levante fail to score, but they are up against a team without a clean sheet in the last three away matches. Despite the goal scoring struggles for Levante, there is a significant possibility of watching both teams find the back of the net in this game.

Levante Preview

Levante have been a surprise package so far this season and it remains the case even with the team managing just one win in the last five. The team were able to end a run of back-to-back losses with the goalless draw with Espanyol, but this result means that Levante have not scored in the last three league matches. Scoring goals was one of the biggest concerns for the team in their last top-flight campaign, as the team only came in with 37 goals in a 38 game season. Now, Levante have been averaging around the same figure with eight goals in eight games. Enis Bardhi is their top scorer with three goals.

Levante Team News

Ivan Lopez (cruciate ligament), Antonio Luna (unknown), Jason (hamstring), and Roger Salvador (cruciate ligament) are the players unavailable for Levante.

Getafe Preview

Getafe may have come away with back-to-back defeats, but Pepe Bordalas will continue to remain happy with the way the season has been progressing. The club has been quite strong upon their return to the La Liga. Even though they have suffered three defeats in the last five league matches, all of those defeats have been by a one goal margin whilst facing top teams like Barcelona and Real Madrid. The next few rounds of games promises Getafe with hope of moving away from the drop zone, as have some winnable matches coming up. Apart from a strong defence, Getafe have been scoring in each of the last six league games. Angel Rodriguez is the top scorer with three league goals.

Getafe Team News

Jefferson Montero (calf), Daniel Pacheco (shoulder), Alvaro Jimenez (rib), Gaku Shibasaki (foot), and Sergio Sanchez (unknown) are the players unavailable for Getafe manager Pepe Bordalas.
