Leicester City vs Tottenham Hotspur Match Prediction

By Marius Hrebenciuc

Leicester welcome Tottenham Hotspurs at the King Power Stadium on Tuesday night, with both teams looking to get back to winning ways in the Premier League. Leicester threw away a one-goal lead following Marc Albrighton’s early goal to only secure a 1-1 draw on the road at West Ham at the weekend. Meanwhile, Tottenham fought back from one-goal down to only secure a 1-1 home draw against West Brom last time out, with Harry Kane scoring the equaliser with 15 minutes to go. Below we have our betting tips, predictions, team news, match stats and odds all in our SBAT preview. Feel free to visit our Bet of the day page to check our best daily tips.

Betting Predictions and Tips

I’m confident that Tottenham will get back to winning ways in this one as they are unbeaten in the last three meetings with Leicester across all competitions, including a 1-6 victory in the most recent game. In addition, Harry Kane has scored five goals in his last three starts at King Power.

Leicester City Preview

Leicester could only managed a draw out at West Ham at the weekend and they are now on a two-game winless streak in the Premier League. Overall, the Foxes have enjoyed a solid run of form over the past two months, having lost just once in their last eight competitive fixtures. Their form at the King Power this season have been a complete mixed bag with three defeats, four wins and one draw in their eight competitive games. They were unbeaten in three competitive home fixtures prior to their 0-2 loss against Manchester City in their most recent Premier League home game. The bad news is that the Foxes are winless in their last four home meetings with Tottenham across all competitions, losing three in the process. Leicester currently lie 11th in the Premier League table tied on 14 points with Bournemouth and Newcastle United , just four points clear of the relegation zone. The Foxes looked decent going forward throughout this Premier League season, having scored 17 goals in 13 rounds. Jamie Vardy is enjoying another good campaign at the moment, as he is the team’s topscorer with six goals under his belt after 13 league appearances.

Leicester City Team News

Matthew James and Robert Huth are both missing through injury ahead of this clash.

Tottenham Hotspur Preview

Meanwhile, Tottenham have suffered a 2-0 defeat at Arsenal a fortnight ago and followed this up with only a 1-1 home draw against West Brom at the weekend. Sandwiched in-between these results, Spurs managed a narrow 1-2 away win at Borussia Dortmund in the penultimate round of this Champions League group stage campaign. They are top of the group H table and they have already won the group regardless the outcome of the final group fixture against APOEL Nicosia. Spurs have recently managed some impressive wins over Real Madrid and Borussia Dortmund, but they couldn’t get three points against the likes of Swansea and West Brom. Regarding their Premier League campaign, Tottenham find themselves only 5th in the standings, five points behind the second-placed Manchester United and 13 points adrift of the current leaders Manchester City. Pochettino’s men hold a tally of 21 goals in 13 rounds so far this season, although nine of these have been scored by Harry Kane. Dele Alli and Christian Eriksen have also been in decent shape this season, as the pair bagged six goals and four assists between them. Away from home, Spurs have suffered back-to-back defeats at the hands of Manchester United and Arsenal in their most recent two league trips without scoring a single goal in the process.

Tottenham Hotspur Team News

Victor Wanyama is a doubt, but Toby Alderweireld is still out through a hamstring injury.
