Leicester City vs Crystal Palace Match Prediction

By Bharath Ramm R

Leicester City had to endure more disappointment with the team losing 3-1 against Tottenham at the Wembley Stadium. Leicester were under pressure throughout the game and Davinson Sanchez provided Spurs with a lead after 33 minutes. Christian Eriksen doubled the advantage just after the hour mark. Even though Jamie Vardy pulled one back a few minutes later, an injury time goal from Son Heung-Min sent Leicester to a 12th loss of the season. Crystal Palace failed to grab three points against West Ham despite playing well in a 1-1 draw. Mark Noble provided the Hammers with a lead from the spot, but Wilfred Zaha earned Palace a point for their strong efforts. Palace went on to beat Doncaster Rovers 2-0 in the FA Cup with Jeffrey Schlupp and Max Mayer scoring the goals.

Here we have our SBAT match preview with all the best predictions, betting tips and match stats.

Betting Tips and Predictions

Palace have been quite excellent of late with the team coming up with highly commendable performances. The Eagles have had a great amount of success on the road with wins over Manchester City and almost snatching a draw against Liverpool. Leicester have been quite poor of late and even home advantage may not help them against a Palace team on a confident run. I would go with a Draw for Crystal Palace win.

The Leicester’s defensive woes are quite apparent from the team conceding almost 2 goals per game over the last six league matches. Palace may still struggle to put off their chances, but they are much improved compared to the early season form. An excellent choice would be to back both teams to score.

Leicester City Preview

Claude Puel has struggled to revive Leicester City’s form over the last few weeks. The club’s defensive tactics has not helped matters. A few weeks ago, Leicester City were capable of beating the likes of Manchester City and Chelsea in back-to-back games. Now, however, the Foxes are struggling to get past even teams in the bottom half. The lack of confidence continues to be felt within the team, who are in danger of losing sight of the top 10 places if the poor form persists.

Leicester City Team News

Marc Albrighton (hamstring) and Daniel Amartey (broken ankle) are missing from action for Leicester.

Crystal Palace Preview

Roy Hodgson continues to be elated with the kind of performances Crystal Palace have been putting over the last few weeks, but the Eagles are still unable to find that finishing touch that can help them get a streak of wins together. Even then, the run of just two defeats in the last nine games is quite commendable for a club that was in the bottom for a large chunk of the first half. The strong performances from Palace have been built on players like Wilfred Zaha and Aaron Wan-Bissaka. However, Hodgson will have to resist growing transfer rumours surrounding these players in order to keep them focused on Palace.

Crystal Palace Team News

Connor Wickham, Julian Speroni (thigh), and Pape Ndiaye Souare (dislocated shoulder) are unavailable for Hodgson.
