Las Palmas vs Sevilla Match Prediction

By Bharath Ramm R

Las Palmas picked up a crucial point at the San Mames after a goalless draw with Athletic Bilbao. The home team were able to edge ahead of Las Palmas in terms of the chances created; Cuco Ziganda saw his team manage five shots on target. Meanwhile, Paco Jemez saw his Las Palmas team hit only two shots on target. Sevilla were able to get a narrow 1-0 victory over Girona at the Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan. After just being involved in the Copa del Rey semifinals, Sevilla saw Aday miss a penalty just before half-time. Pablo Sarabia made the visitors pay for this mistake with a 46th minute goal.

Here we have our SBAT match preview with all the best predictions, betting tips and match stats.

Betting Tips and Predictions

Sevilla have been able to beat Las Palmas in the last five occasions. Even though Sevilla head into the game on the back of two consecutive victories, it is important to remember that these victories have been at the Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan. The last away game for Sevilla ended in a 5-1 thrashing. Meanwhile, Las Palmas have been quite decent at home in recent weeks. I would back a win for Las Palmas.

The lowest scoring team in the division may be Malaga, but Las Palmas are not far behind with only 17 goals in 23 games. Sevilla have averaged 1.5 goals per game in the last six. Only one of the recent six meetings between these two teams has ended up being a high scorer. I would choose under 2.5 goals in this game.

Las Palmas win – 5/2

Total goals under 2.5 – 13/10

Las Palmas saw over 1.5 goals in 7 out of their last 10 games played

Sevilla saw over 1.5 goals in 8 out of their last 10 games played

Las Palmas Preview

Las Palmas would be delighted with the point against Athletic Bilbao at the San Mames. After all, this result helped end a run of five consecutive away defeats for the team. Las Palmas have been especially poor on the road for the last few months. Since October, the team has only picked up two points on the road. Jemez will be quite happy to see his team return to the comforts of the Gran Canaria, a place where they have suffered just one defeat in the last five games. Loic Remy has departed the club on a temporary basis, but he still shares the top scorer spot at the club with Jonathan Calleri. Both players have managed five goals each.

Las Palmas Team News

Emmanuel Emenike (knee) is the only player unavailable for Las Palmas coming into the game.

Sevilla Preview

Vincenzo Montella feared for the worst when his team collapsed to a 5-1 defeat against Eibar at the start of February, but the Sevilla outfit has quickly recovered from this setback with back-to-back wins. Crucially, one of those victories has helped Sevilla book a place against Barcelona in the final of the Copa del Rey. The La Liga 2017-18 season does not promise to reward Sevilla with Champions League qualification. Hence, the Copa del Rey title would be a crucial addition date. Luis Muriel and Wissam Ben Yedder are the top scorers at Sevilla with five goals each.

Sevilla Team News

Ever Banega (thigh), Nolito (groin), and Sebastien Corchia (groin) are the players unavailable for Sevilla manager Vincenzo Montella.
