Las Palmas vs Real Betis Match Prediction

By Bharath Ramm R

Las Palmas did well to at least pick up a point against Real Sociedad after a 2-2 draw during the weekend. The relegation-threatened outfit scored the first goal through Tana in the 21st minute. Goals from Willian Jose and Adnan Januzaj either side of the break put Real Sociedad in front, but Jonathan Viera beat the goalkeeper from distance to equalise the scores. Loic Remy later stuck the post as he came close to giving Las Palmas a surprise win. In the midweek game, the team lost against Deportivo La Coruna in the Copa del Rey. Real Betis could only get a 2-2 draw with Girona. Even though it was two points dropped, Real Betis did well to cancel out goals from Portu on two occasions – through Andres Guardado and Christian Tello.

Here we have our SBAT match preview with all the best predictions, betting tips and match stats.

Betting Tips and Predictions

Real Betis come into the game with a poor run of form that has seen them take just one win in seven league matches. Las Palmas are also on a terrible run of form, but the recent game against Real Sociedad gives me a lot of confidence to back the home outfit. Real Betis lost in their recent visit to the Gran Canaria. I would go with a victory for Las Palmas. This game promises goals with both teams having been very poor at the back this season. Real Betis have conceded 27 goals – a record which is narrowly better than the 32 goals conceded by Las Palmas. This game is a great candidate to witness more than 2.7 goals.

Las Palmas Preview

Las Palmas will take a lot of confidence from the recent performance against Real Sociedad, as the team could have been able to get a victory on any other day. As it stands, the moral of the team will have not received a substantial boost – as demonstrated by the loss against Deportivo La Coruna in the Copa del Rey. Las Palmas have a crucial set of matches coming up with games against the likes of Deportivo Alaves, Getafe, and Eibar. The form of Loic Remy will be key, as the Frenchman was involved in the opening goal against Real Sociedad and also stuck the post. He is the top scorer with four league goals.

Las Palmas Team News

Momo (neck), Alen Halilovic (ankle), and Vitolo (thigh) are the players unavailable for Las Palmas.

Real Betis Preview

The poor of results for Real Betis is starting to threaten the club’s position in the top half of the table. The Real Betis outfit have managed only one win in the last seven La Liga matches. There was more embarrassment for the club in the Copa del Rey after they were knocked out of the last 16 by lower league Cadiz. Real Betis are finding it difficult to overcome a poor run of form and it is largely down to conceding a whopping 27 goals in the 13 league games. Antonio Sanabria, though, leads the charts at Real Betis with seven goals.

Real Betis Team News

Real Betis manager Quique Setien will be without Joel Campbell (knee) and Zou Feddal (Achilles tendon) due to injury.
