Las Palmas vs Osasuna Match Prediction

By Gary Gillles

Las Palmas came close to creating a historic result after managing a 3-3 draw with Real Madrid. The relegation threatened outfit might have secured a famous win at the Santiago Bernabeu had it not been for two late goals from Cristiano Ronaldo. Goals from Tana, Jonathan Viera, and Kevin Prince Boetang cancelled out the early opener from Isco. Gareth Bale was sent off with a second yellow card in the 47th minute. Osasuna slipped to a fifth consecutive defeat after a 4-1 loss against Villarreal. Roberto Soriano, Soldado, and a brace from Rafael Borre secured the win for Villarreal, while Roberto Torres scored from the penalty spot for Osasuna.

Betting Tips and Predictions

Las Palmas are exceptionally strong at home, and the back-to-back losses against Sevilla and Real Sociedad are not a fair reflection of the club’s strength at home. Osasuna have had just one win this season. Ironically, this victory may have come on the road, but the team has managed only three draws besides this positive result. I would back Las Palmas for a win.

Osasuna have failed to score in four of the last seven away games. Even though they have scored in their last five home matches without fail, Las Palmas are well placed to keep the first clean sheet at home since the start of January.

Las Palmas win – 4/7

Las Palmas clean sheet – 5/4

Las Palmas Preview

Las Palmas’ brilliant performance in the game against Real Madrid was certainly unexpected, especially after the club had managed to score one goal in the previous four games. It appeared that Las Palmas had lost the motivation to win games after managing to achieve relative safety in the La Liga. Las Palmas managed to pick up six wins at the Gran Canaria, but only one win has come on the road. After going almost a year without a defeat at home, Las Palmas have lost back-to-back home matches. Summer signing Kevin Prince Boetang has become the surprise top scorer at the club with seven goals.

Osasuna Preview

Osasuna are clearly playing for pride in the remainder of the season. A fifth consecutive defeat has left the club 10 points away from safety. Even amidst the disappointments, the club maintained their scoring run in front of their own fans. Osasuna have failed to score only once in the last seven home games. This run seems especially strong in comparison with an away form which has seen the team score only twice in the last six matches. After a brief run of form, top scorer Sergio Leon, who has seven league goals, has not scored in the last two games.
