Las Palmas vs Deportivo La Coruna Match Prediction

By Bharath Ramm R

Las Palmas’ disappointing form continued with a heavy 4-0 loss against Villarreal during the weekend. The Yellow Submarines were at their rampant best once Cedric Bakambu had provided the opening goal in the 48th minute. Mario Gaspar, Ximo Navarro (OG), and Nicola Sansone scored goals to inflict a heavy loss upon Las Palmas once again. The club, however, beat Deportivo La Coruna 4-1 in the Copa del Rey. Deportivo La Coruna suffered a 2-1 home defeat against Girona to deepen worries about relegation. Aday’s penalty in the 25th minute was cancelled out by Lucas Perez’ penalty in the 51st minute. However, Portu scored the decisive goal in the 71st minute to give Girona a win.

Here we have our SBAT match preview with all the best predictions, betting tips and match stats.

Betting Tips and Predictions

Las Palmas’ recent 4-1 victory over Deportivo La Coruna in the first leg of the Copa del Rey last 16 will have a significant impact in the approach of both clubs. Deportivo La Coruna will be coming into the game searching for their first away win, while Las Palmas are looking to reverse a run of five consecutive league wins. Due to the midweek win and home advantage, I would go with a win for Las Palmas.

Deportivo La Coruna have a decent scoring record on the road this season. The failure to score in the away game against Eibar is the first blank from La Coruna on the road. Las Palmas have the worst defensive record in the division with 22 goals conceded. I see better value in going with the total goals being more than 2.5.

Las Palmas Preview

Las Palmas appear to be running out of ideas and short on confidence based on the recent set of results. After having begun the campaign in strong fashion, Las Palmas have shown a tendency to collapse in recent matches. The club has conceded an incredible 12 goals in the last three La Liga 2017/18 matches. As a result, Las Palmas have been promoted to the position of the worst defence in the league with 22 goals conceded – two more than bottom club Malaga. Loic Remy is the leading scorer at the club this season with three.

Las Palmas Team News

Oussama Tannane (groin) and Alen Halilovic (ankle) are the players unavailable due to injury.

Deportivo La Coruna Preview

Deportivo La Coruna have been concentrating heavily on the home form as a tool to get away from the relegation zone. However, Pepe Mel’s team has taken a major hit after losing against Girona, a team perceived as one of the direct rivals for relegation. La Coruna have been going through an indifferent run of form, but the club need to pick up as much points as possible before the end of October. The club have a difficult time over the next five matches with opponents like Atletico Madrid, Athletic Bilbao, and Sevilla lined up. Florin Andone, Lucas Perez, and Federico Cartabia are the leading scorers at the club with two for the season.

Deportivo La Coruna Team News

Deportivo La Coruna come into the game without Carles Gil (groin), Bicho (shoulder), and Adrian (shoulder) due to injury.
