Juventus vs SPAL 2013 Match Prediction

By William Hall

Reining Serie A champions Juventus welcome stuggling SPAL to the Allianz Arena this Wednesday evening. Juventus look as if they are back to winning ways after back to back eind over Sporting Lisbon is the Champions League and Udinese in the league. This is a game they will be fully expected to get all three points with SPAL coming into this one without a win in seven games, losing six of those in that time. Read on for a full match preview complete with all our best predictions, betting tips and match stats.

Betting Tips and Predictions

For me, their is only going to be one winner this weekedn. However, with Juventus priced at 1/8 there is no point in betting on it. If Juventus turn up and have a strong side out, they could easily go and put a few past this poor looking SPAL team. SPAL showed a lot of heart in their first two games and have continued to fight for points. But with the side unable to get many points on the table to now and having no luck against the top teams in the league, I can't see them getting anything from this one and will most likely get a thrashing from a strong Juventus side.

Juventus Preview

Juventus hit a blip a couple of weeks back but now look as if they are back firing after a 2-1 win at home in the Champions League against Sporting before smashing Udinese 6-2 away from home in Serie A. Paulo Dybala has been the sides most prolific player this season scoring an impressive ten goals in just nine matches. Gonazlo Higuain and Marko Mandzukic have also get their fair share of goals whcih has helped the side so far this season. Juventus have lost just one home game in over 40 matches with that defeat actually coming last time out against Lazio. If it wasn't for a penalty miss in the last minute of the game, that run would have been extended.

Juventus Team News

Juventus have five players missing this weekend with Mattia De Sciglio (ankle injury), Marko Pjava (ACL), Mehdi Benatia (ankle injury), Benedikt Howedes (thigh injury) and Mario Mandzukic (suspension).

SPAL 2013 Preview

After a bright start from SPAL, it now seems the high demands of the Italian top flight is taking an affect as the side have been unable to win a game in their last seven outings, losing six of them in that time. Lost time out they were beat at home to also struggling Sassuolo which is a bitterly disappointing result as those kind of games need to be one to stand any chance of staying in the league come the end of the season. With just seven goals scored within the whole squad this season and 15 going against them, you can see where they are really struggling. However, they have shown they are able to compete in the league with a win and two draws so far.

SPAL 2013 Team News

SPAL have four players who will miss the trip to Juventus with Sergio Floccari (thigh injury), Alberto Grassi (thigh injury), Alex Meret (hernia) and Fabio Della Giovanna (unknown) all out.
