Juventus vs Fiorentina Match Prediction

Juventus have been riding the white hot form of Argentine Paulo Dybala of late, and they will look to do that again on Wednesday night as they play host to Fiorentina in Serie A. Juventus come into this match off the back of a 1-3 victory at Sassuolo. Fiorentina also won at the weekend, defeating Bologna 2-1 at home on Saturday. Below we have our betting tips, predictions, team news and match stats all in our SBAT preview.

Betting Tips and Predictions

Fiorentina will come into this match off the back of a 2-1 win over Juventus back in January. Juve won their home match by the same score last season in August of last year. Juve had won five straight prior to that loss at Fiorentina in January, so that is very much a blip on the radar. This match should be totally in Juventus' favor here, as they are truly the kings of Serie A, and have remained perfect in the league thus far.

Juventus Preview

Juventus continued their fine form on Sunday with yet another win. They leapfrogged Inter Milan back to the top of the table on goal difference with their victory, which will please them a little bit indeed. They have looked decent of late, but there is still just a feeling that they have lost something at the back. Injuries and a lack of defensive cohesion saw them get ripped apart by Lionel Messi in a 3-0 defeat at Barcelona in the Champions League in midweek last week. They just didn't have anything for the Catalans on that night as they were hammered in order to get revenge. All should be well, though, and they should still get through in that group. While a loss away to Barcelona isn't all that bad, it is a worry that they lost in that matter. There will now be questions asked on whether they will be competitive at the latter stages or not again. On Sunday, they won 1-3 away to Sassuolo and made sure that they made no mistake and slipped up as they did two years back. Paulo Dybala got them into the lead at half time after a 16th minute goal. He made it two for Juve after 49 minutes, and the Old Lady looked well on their way. But just two minutes later, Matteo Politano had found the net to make a game of it again. Dybala would have the final word as completed his hat trick on 63 minutes to give Juve top spot once again. Dybala now has two hat tricks this season, and a total of eight goals in Serie A. Gonzalo Higuain has just two, remarkably! Miralem Pjanic leads the team with three assists, and a host of others have one. Juve have just two losses this season, but both of them came in cup matches.

Max Allegri will be getting close to welcoming center midfielder Sami Khedira into the lineup. So he is going to be touch and go to feature in this match. It'll be another week for fellow center mid Claudio Marchisio, while winger Marko Pjaca remains out. Right back Mattia De Sciglio and center back Benedikt Howedes will also miss out with injuries.

Fiorentina Preview

Fiorentina began the season with two losses, and their was a lot of concern going around that they were going to have a year full of struggles. They are, and always were, going to have a very hard time climbing up the table and challenging for European places this season as there are simply so many sides involved in the fight this season, but the last two weeks have helped build confidence back to a level that will give them a chance going forward. Their 0-5 win away to Hellas Verona after the international break was followed on by a 2-1 win on Saturday at home to Bologna. They were in control of the match for the majority of the time without every really big totally dominant, but in the end it was enough to see them to victory over their visitors. Attacking midfielder Federico Chiesa scored first for them in the 51st minute, but they were pegged back by Rodrigo Palacio less than a minute later. Fiorentina would have to start all over again, but it proved to be little more than an untimely setback for them as German Pezzella found the back of the net on 69 minutes. They would hold on to the lead this time, and they now are in a good run of form as they travel to Turin for a very tough fixture. Fiorentina have split their goals up quite a bit, and there is no one with more than one thus far. Bruno Gaspar does have two assists, though, and then there is line of players with one to their name.

Fiorentina have been missing attacking midfielders Riccardo Saponara and Valentin Eysseric of late, but both of them could be set to return in the next week for La Viola.
