Inverness CT vs Celtic Match Prediction

By Gary Gillles

Inverness finally managed to lift themselves out of the bottom after a surprise 2-1 win over Rangers during the weekend. Greg Tansey opened the scoring for Inverness just before half-time. Rangers managed to get themselves back on level terms through a Martin Waghorn penalty in the 67th minute. With both teams heading for a stalemate, Billy McKay scored in the final minute of normal time to give Inverness three precious points. Celtic continued their impressive run with yet another win. The 2-0 win over Hamilton came about as a result of two goals from Moussa Dembele.

Betting Tips and Predictions

Inverness are the only team to take points off Celtic in the Scottish Premier League this season. Since the 2-2 draw earlier in the campaign, Inverness have suffered two heavy defeats – an aggregate of 9-0 – against Celtic. The recent win over Rangers does give the home team a lot of confidence, but Celtic should be strong even in this scenario. Incredibly, Celtic have managed only one win in the last four visits to the Tulloch Caledonian Stadium. There is great value in backing Celtic for a win.

Celtic forward Moussa Dembele has been in stunning form in 2017. He has scored nine goals in the last four matches. The 20-year-old is now the club top scorer with 15 league goals. His overwhelming form is a great reason to back him to find the back of the net anytime against Inverness.

Celtic to win – 1/4

Moussa Dembele to score anytime – 4/6

Inverness Preview

Inverness capitalised on the Rangers’ struggles to get themselves a first league win since October. The result lifts a lot of pressure off manager Richie Foran. There has been increasing signs of a turnaround in fortunes. Inverness suffered only two defeats in the last eight home matches. Yet, they were not able to convert draws into victories. It would have been a similar story against Rangers had it not been for the late Billy Mackay goal. Inverness had failed to score only once in the last eight home matches. Clearly, form at the Tulloch Caledonian Stadium will be key towards the club progressing upwards in the table.

Celtic Preview

Celtic seem unstoppable especially when it comes to the domestic league matches. The club are on the verge of securing a league title even with several games left. However, this advantage could lead to focus away from the Scottish Premier League. The club have a Scottish Cup quarter-final against St Mirren during the weekend. Brendan Rodgers may rest his players for the game, although the desire to set new records does seem quite high. Moussa Dembele has been the star of the show in the last few weeks. The striker has raced to 15 goals, just ahead of Scott Sinclair with 14.
