West Brom really haven’t travelled well as of late, while Huddersfield have proved to be a tough side to beat at home. I’m expecting this one to go the way of the form, with Huddersfield getting the three points.

Huddersfield Town Preview

David Wagner was unable to get one over best friend Jurgen Klopp at Anfield last weekend, as the latter’s Liverpool side broke Huddersfield’s resistance with a strong second half performance to win 3-0. Jonas Lossl denied Mohamed Salah from the penalty spot just before half-time, but it look the Reds just five minutes to net at the start of the second half through Daniel Sturridge. Further goals from Roberto Firmino and Gini Wijnaldum later in the half ensured a comfortable victory for the home side, while Huddersfield were left disappointed at a lack of clear-cut opportunities created to test what was a shaky defence the week before. The Terriers are just a fortnight removed from one of their most famous league victories of all time, having defeated Manchester United 2-1 in their last Premier League game at home. Such a result and performance has raised the bar of expectations on this team further, as they now look to repeat that previous level of performance this time around. Now 13th in the table, a win could potentially hoist Wagner’s men into the top half of the table heading into the upcoming international break.

Huddersfield Town Team News

Michael Hefele (achilles), Jon Gorenc-Stankovic (cruciate ligament), Philip Billing (ankle) and Kasey Palmer (hamstring) are all ruled out for the home side.

West Bromwich Albion Preview

West Brom fought a brave fight against Manchester City last weekend but, like so many sides Pep Guardiola’s men will face this season, came up short in the end as they went down 3-2 at The Hawthorns. Leroy Sane gave City the lead inside ten minutes, but Jay Rodriguez pulled them level just three minutes later. However, parity lasted only two more minutes as Fernandinho stuck to put City back ahead, as Raheem Sterling made it 3-1 in the second half. Matt Phillips pounced on slack City defending to net a consolation, but it wasn’t enough to bring an end to their prolonged winless run. The defeat against the Premier League leaders made it nine matches without a win in all competitions for the Baggies, who as a result have dropped to 15th in the table - that after starting the campaign with back-to-back victories. A lack of goals are continuing to haunt this side, with forward Rodriguez currently their top goalscorer with just two strikes from ten matches and Tony Pulis may have to take a more risky approach to fix this current lack of production in the final third.

West Bromwich Albion Team News

Craig Dawson (knee) and James Morrison (achilles) are both set to miss out once again for West Brom.
