Spurs have been in excellent form, with Harry Kane in particular impressing with goals galore in September. With Huddersfield experiencing a lull in recent weeks, I’m expecting a Spurs win.

Huddersfield Town Preview

After somewhat of a fairytale start to life in the Premier League, Huddersfield Town will now need to draw inspiration from somewhere once again after another uninspiring performance during their 0-0 draw away at Burnley last time out. Burnley enjoyed the better chances in the game as the Terriers were restricted mainly to sitting back and waiting for the counter attack. Mustering just one attempt on target, this game and performance was somewhat of a reflection of their recent form, with the team scoring just once in their last five games in all competitions and are without a win since beating Rotherham United 2-1 in the League Cup on August 23. They are, though, still unbeaten at home this season with two wins and two draws from their four outings in league and cup, last tasting defeat at the John Smith’s Stadium in May. Key it seems to restoring their free-flowing touch in attack is influential midfielder Aaron Mooy, who was been at the heart of everything good going forward from midfield so far this term.

Huddersfield Town Team News

Jon Gorenc-Stankovic (cruciate ligament), Kasey Palmer (hamstring), Collin Quaner (calf) and Steve Mounie (heel) are all ruled out for this weekend. Danny Williams (broken toe) is a doubt.

Tottenham Hotspur Preview

Spurs continued their dominant form despite the absence of both Christian Eriksen and Dele Alli in the Champions League in midweek as Harry Kane was once again the star man away at Apoel Nicosia. A cool left-footed finish from Kane five minutes before half-time saw his side go in 1-0 up at the break and he was up to his usual tricks in the second half. A clinical finish from the edge of the box gave Kane his second multiple scoring game in as many Champions League matches, before Kieran Trippier’s inch-perfect cross allowed the England international to head in and secure a perfect hat-trick in the process. He has now scored nine goals in just five games in all competitions in September, with five goals in two games in the Champions League as they now look to secure an important three points. It is vital that Tottenham pick up the victory here with both Chelsea and Manchester City facing each other later in the evening, with it guaranteed that way that they will make up ground on one of their rivals. Tottenham have been in exceptional form away from home recently, winning all three of their Premier League away games this season, with that run stretching to five on the bounce if including last season’s thrashings at Leicester and Hull.

Tottenham Hotspur Team News

Serge Aurier is suspended while Victor Wanyama (knee) and Erik Lamela (hip) are both long-term absentees. Christian Eriksen (illness) and Moussa Dembele (ankle) will be assessed.
