Huddersfield’s dream start hit something of a reality check last time out, after suffering their first defeat of the season. Leicester, in defeat, have performed well and I’m expecting them to get the victory in this fixture.

Huddersfield Town Preview

It showed just how contrasting start to the season that West Ham and Huddersfield had enjoyed that it was in fact the Terriers who entered their clash at the London Stadium as favourites, with Huddersfield going into the game unbeaten, while West Ham had yet to gain a single point. However, this game wasn’t to go the way of the form, as Pedro Obiang’s deflected strike gave West Ham the lead eighteen minutes from time. Five minutes separated that and Andre Ayew’s close-range finish which ultimately proved to be too much for the Terriers to come back from, condemning Huddersfield to their first ever Premier League defeat. David Wagner will have been most disappointed that his side have now lost their perfect defensive record, having kept three successive clean sheets to kick off the new season. Currently 6th in the table, this will arguably be the toughest test they have faced during their short time in the Premier League and will need to be at their best to get a result against the Foxes.

Huddersfield Town Team News

Martin Crainie, Collin Quaner (both knee) and Jonathan Hogg (ankle) are all doubtful. Jon Gorenc-Stankovic (cruciate ligament) is a long-term absentee.

Leicester City Preview

Leicester’s opening four fixtures would’ve been enough to make any team in the Premier League wince slightly, with their record of three points from their first four games perhaps what most people would've expected of them. Last time out they hosted Chelsea, who were in excellent form at the King Power Stadium, taking the lead when Alvaro Morata headed in Cesar Azpilicueta’s cross. N’Golo Kante then made it 2-0 with an excellent effort from range, and although Jamie Vardy’s penalty made things interesting for the closing half an hour, Antonio Conte’s men held on for the win. With Liverpool at home next week, their schedule isn’t getting any easier, making it even more important that they are able to come away from this fixture with a result. Despite losing three of their opening four games, Leicester have competed well in all of their defeats, losing narrowly against top opposition in Arsenal, Manchester United and Chelsea. Striker Vardy has started the season in decent form, netting three goals in his first four games as he looks to return to the form seen in the Foxes’ title-winning campaign.

Leicester City Team News

Robert Huth (ankle) and Vicente Iborra (groin) are both in contention to return after missing the opening weeks of the season through injury.
