Hellas Verona vs Benevento Match Prediction

Serie A's bottom two go head to head this weekend as Hellas Verona welcome Benevento to Stadio Marc'Antonio Bentegodi on Monday night. These two are the only teams this season yet to win a game, making this a six-pointer for both sides. Hellas Verona have managed to get three draws so far this season whereas Benevento are yet to pick up a single point. Hellas Verona will be feeling confident coming into this game after coming from behind to bag a point away to Torino. Benevento got quite unlucky last time out losing 2-1 at home to Inter Milan. With both sides needing a win to get their seasons up and running, this could be a very nervy encounter. Read on for a full match preview complete with all our best predictions, betting tips and match stats.
Betting Tips and Predictions
With both sides in desperate need for a win this weekend, I can see this being a very scrappy encounter. Hellas Verona have looked the better of the teams so far, even though they haven't picked up the results to prove that. Drawing 2-2 away to Torino last time out was arguably their best result of the season and one they can take a lot of confidence from. Benevento have had a shocking start to Serie A, and for them, it doesn't look as if it is going to get much better anytime soon. Having scored just two goals in their opening seven matches, you can see where the real problem lays with this Benevento team. Here are my favourite betting tips and predictions for the game.

Hellas Verona Preview
Hellas Verona will see this as their best possible chance this season to get their first in of the season on the board, and after getting the point on the road to Torino last time out, they will be feeling confident. They showed a lot of heart to get back into the game after trailing the match 2-0 at half time. They looked as if they were going to lose the game right up until the end before an 87th-minute goal from Kean sparked the comeback and when a Hellas Verona player got brought down in the box deep into stoppage time Pazzini slotted home the penalty to send Verona away with a point. A lot of positives can be taken from the second half performance, and if they take that into this one, they shouldn't have to much trouble seeing off Benevento.
Hellas Verona Team News
Hellas Verona have six players who look as if they are going to be out this weekend with Moise Kean (thigh injury), Romulo Orestes (shoulder injury), Nicolo Cherubin (head injury), Alex Ferrari (leg injury), Matteo Binchetti (spinal injury) and Bruno Zuculini (suspension). Gian Felicioli is back in training and could make a return this weekend.
Benevento Preview
Benevento have had a terrible start to life in Serie A losing all of their opening seven games, sitting right at the bottom of the table. It was always going to be tough for the side with the squad they have but to not have picked up a point yet will be disappointing. However, last time out they showed a good fighting spirit at home to Inter Milan, losing just 2-1 in the game. If they can start to show this kind of fight more often, they will begin to pick up more points throughout the campaign. If the side are to have any chance of staying in the league come to the end of the season, they must go out and win games against the teams around them in the league, and for them, one of those games is this weekend which is enormous.
Benevento Team News
Benevento have just two players out this weekend with Andrea COsta (muscle injury) and Marco D'alessandro (knee injury) both sidelined.
