Betting Tips and Predictions

Hamburg have been very, very poor over the last month or so and with Bayern Munich looking as if they have turned on the style once again, I can only see there being one outcome this weekend. Robert Lewandowski is the most significant worry for the home team this weekend. The Poland international has been the deadliest striker in the Bundesliga for the last couple of seasons now and with him already scoring nine goals in just eight games this season he will be looking to smash his 30 goal record from the last couple of seasons which will help Bayern Munich massively at their bid to win the Bundesliga yet again. Hamburg haven't won a home game in their previous three losing two and drawing the other. I really can't see that changing this weekend with the form they in and the confidence Bayern Munich would have taken from last weekend. Hamburger SV Preview

Hamburg started their season well winning two of their opening three games. However, since then it has gone down hill very quickly with the side without a win in six games, losing five of those along the way. The side most recently slumped to a 3-2 defeat away to Mainz, and in truth, the scoreline looks a lot better on Hamburg than it should have been. They went behind after just two minutes but got back into the game just seven minutes later. It stayed this way until the 52nd minute when Mainz scored two goals in six minutes to all but secure the three points. It was the 92nd goal from Hamburg which made the defeat not look as bad but they never really deserved anything from the match. With Bayern Munich on the horizon, Mainz will need to buck up their ideas, or they could be on the wrong end of a thumping.

Hamburger SV Team News

Hamburg have four players out this weekend with Bjarne Thoelke (medial collateral ligament), Andreas Hirzel (ill), Douglas Santos (ill) and Nicolai Muller (ACL) all sidelined.

Bayern Munich Preview

Bayern Munich had gone into a bit of a blip which saw the sacking of Ancholloti as manager. Heynckes was the man brought in to try and turn things around for the club, and the early sign are that he is doing just that. Bayern Munich ran riot at home to Freiburg last weekend smashing five in to win the game in very comfortable fashion. It came to no surprise that Bayern Munich top goalscorer Robert Lewandowski got on the scoresheet which took his tally to nine goals in just eight games this season. The Poland international has been a treat in this league for some years now scoring 30 goals in both of his last two seasons at the club. If Hamburg don't tighten up this weekend, he could be in for a field day.

Bayern Munich Team News

Bayer Munich have five players missing this weekend with Arturo Vidal (thigh injury), Juan Bernat (ankle injury), Javier Martinez (shoulder injury), Frank Ribery (knee injury) and Manuel Neuer (broken foot) all out.
