Granada vs Real Madrid Match Prediction

By Gary Gillles

Granada scored the first goal of Tony Adams’ reign, but they were unable to prevent a 2-1 loss against Real Sociedad. Carlos Vela’s goal just before half-time was a psychological blow, but Adrian Ramos did equalise for Granada in the 65th minute. The home team required an 84th minute goal from Juanmi to secure the winner. Real Madrid come on the back of a 2-1 win over Valencia at the Santiago Bernabeu. Cristiano Ronaldo’s opening goal was cancelled out by Dani Parejo in the 82nd minute. However, Marcelo stepped up to score the winner four minutes later. In the midweek, the club gained a strong hold in the Champions League semi-final with Atletico Madrid after a 3-0 win in the first leg.

Here we have our SBAT match preview with all the best predictions, betting tips and match stats.

Betting Tips and Predictions

Real Madrid have been in tremendous goal scoring form over the last few weeks. However, they have been unable to keep a clean sheet on the road since December. Since the 3-0 win over Atletico Madrid in November, Real Madrid have conceded at least a goal in the last 10 away games. However, they are up against a Granada team which has scored just one goal in Tony Adams’ reign and are looking extremely poor. I would back Madrid to keep a clean sheet.

Ronaldo has been in red-hot form in the last few weeks. He has nine goals in the last five games across all competitions. I would back the Portuguese superstar to score the first goal for Real Madrid.

Granada Preview

Granada showed little signs of fight in the last match against Real Sociedad, but it certainly came too late for the team. The appointment of Tony Adams had a negative impact on the team. In the four matches since the arrival of the former Arsenal defender, the club has conceded nine goals and scored just one in return. A run of home wins during February seemed to spark the club into life, but those hopes have evaporated. The club has taken just one point in the last 10 matches. Artem Kravets is the top scorer, but he has scored just five league goals.

Granada Team News

Tony Adams will be without Matthew Saunier (hamstring), Hector Hernandez Ortega (knee), Artem Kravets (ankle), and Franck Tabanou (ankle) due to injury. Ezequiel Ponce is suspended for the game

Real Madrid Preview

Real Madrid are on course for a historic double, as the club have been able to quickly recover from the 2017 El Clasico defeat. The back-to-back wins in the league has been followed up with a quite impressive win over Atletico Madrid in the Champions League semi-final. This victory provided the club’s first clean sheet in eight matches. The convincing victory means that Madrid are unlikely to consider resting players ahead of the second leg. Manager Zinedine Zidane might field a full-strength team. Cristiano Ronaldo’s failure to score in four consecutive league game ended against Valencia.

Real Madrid Team News

Pepe (broken rib), Gareth Bale (calf), and Daniel Carvajal (muscle) are the players unavailable for Zinedine Zidane.
