Fulham vs Leeds United Match Prediction

By Richard McTiernan

This Tuesday evening (19:45) fixture is live on SKYTV and features two sides in the top-half of the Championship.  Here we have our match preview with all the best predictions, betting tips and match stats.

Fulham continued their recent good form as they went to Carrow Road on Good Friday and picked up a 2-0 victory.  The Cottagers netted two in a five-minute spell first through Stefan Johansen and then Tom Cairney to take all three points.

Leeds ended a four-game winless run as they defeated Bolton 2-1 on Good Friday at Elland Road.  Caleb Ekupan and Pablo Hernandez got the goals to give them a deserved three points.

The reverse fixture came in mid-August in Yorkshire and it ended in a goalless draw.  It means that the last five meetings between these sides have finished all-square with four ending 1-1.

Betting Tips and Predictions

Fulham are a short price to win the game and while I would not want to back against them given their current form I would not want to be siding with a Leeds side without a victory in their last seven.

The hosts are scoring goals for fun while the visitors can bag themselves so the goals markets make sense but bookmakers seem to have most of these covered.  Yes, in the both teams to score market looks a sensible bet while a small interest on the game to have over 3.5 goals also appeals.

Fulham Preview

The Cottagers are now 17 league matches unbeaten but continue to find themselves trailing Cardiff by seven points and have played a game more.  It looks like they will have to settle for the end of season play-offs unless someone makes a shock collapse.

At Craven Cottage, they are unbeaten in their last 11 Championship matches winning nine of these.  They have kept clean sheets in five of their last six at their own ground and have conceded just four times in the last ten.

Tom Cairney has netted in his last two appearances and in each of his last three against Leeds.  The London outfit have scored at least two goals in each of their last six and in 14 of their last 17.

Fulham Team News

Tomas Kalas (hip) is their only doubt ahead of this game

Leeds United Preview

Since the turn of the year United have taken just 11 points which has seen their play-off hopes slip away.  Their remaining seven fixtures will be used by manager Paul Heckingbottom to plan for the next campaign.

Away from Elland Road, they are without a victory in their last seven in the league losing four of these.  Their last four on the road have gone over 2.5 goals with two of the last three going over 3.5 goals.

The last three Leeds Championship matches and seven of their last ten have seen both teams find the back of the net.   The Yorkshire outfit would be as high as sixth if the league was settled on results after 45 minutes.

Leeds United Team News

Liam Cooper (dead leg) and Tyler Roberts (shin) are doubts while Kemar Roofe (calf), Conor Shaughnessy and Luke Ayling (both ankle) are long-term absentees.
