Feyenoord vs NAC Breda Match Prediction

By Marius Hrebenciuc

The reigning champions Feyenoord will be aiming to get back to winning ways in the Eredivisie when they welcome NAC Breda at the Stadion Feijenoord on Saturday evening. Feyenoord suffered a narrow 1-0 victory on the road at PSV Eindhoven last weekend, with the Rotterdammers conceding the goal in the first two minutes of the game. On the contrary, NAC Breda won 2-1 at home over FC Groningen last time out in the Eredivisie thanks to a second-half brace from Rai Vloet. Below we have our betting tips, predictions, team news, match stats and odds all in our SBAT preview.

Betting Predictions and Tips - Match Odds

Feyenoord should be able to get back to winning ways in the Eredivisie in this one, although there is not much value for a home victory as they are priced at odds 1/6 with Bet365. However, Feyenoord to cover the Asian Handicap -2 look better value at odds 31/40, given the fact three of the last four home meetings with NAC Breda have ended with victories by a two-goal margin.

Betting Prediction: Asian Handicap -2 on Feyenoord at odds 31/40 with Bet365

Feyenoord v NAC Breda - Correct score betting tips and odds

Regarding a correct score prediction, I think that Feyenoord to win 3-1 is a good choice, as the Rotterdammers have scored seven goals in their two home league games so far this season, while NAC Breda allowed six goals and scored twice in their two league trips. Furthermore, two of the last four home meetings with NAC Breda have ended with the score of 3-1 for the Rotterdammers.

Our Correct Score prediction: Feyenoord to win 3-1 at odds 9/1 with Bet365

Feyenoord v NAC Breda - Total Goals predictions and odds

Two of the last four meetings between these two teams have seen more than three goals scored and I think that this will be the case in this one as well. Feyenoord hold the best-attacking record in the division at the moment with 12 goals under their belts after five rounds, while NAC Breda have the second worst defence with 13 goals conceded. I find excellent value in the Over 3.5 goals at odds 10/11 with Bet365.

Total Goals prediction: Over 3.5 goals at 10/11 with Bet365

Feyenoord Preview

Feyenoord started their title defence in a strong manner, picking up victories in each of the opening four rounds of the new Eredivisie season. However, they suffered a humiliating 0-4 home loss at the hands of Manchester City in the Champions League last week and followed this up with a narrow 1-0 away defeat at PSV Eindhoven in the Eredivisie at the weekend. This makes it two games in a row without finding the back of the net. Despite the recent league loss, the Rotterdammers still sit at the top of the Eredivisie table tied on 12 points with PSV Eindhoven and AZ Alkmaar. The good news is that Feyenoord are now back on home soil where they are undefeated in 17 domestic fixtures, including two consecutive wins over Twente and Willem II in this early part of the Eredivisie. Furthermore, Feyenoord have won their last five home meetings with NAC Breda in the Eredivisie, scoring at least two goals in four of these. Feyenoord have been scoring goals for fun throughout this early part of the season as they managed a decent tally of 12 goals in five rounds. Steven Berghuis is leading the club’s goalscoring charts with four goals under his belt, while Jean-Paul Boetius and Jens Toornstra have bagged five goals and four assists between them.

Feyenoord Team News

Kenneth Vermeer and Nicolai Jorgensen are both missing through injury, while Sven van Beek is a doubt. In addition, Steven Berghuis is out through suspension.

NAC Breda Preview

NAC Breda finally won their first victory of the new Eredivisie campaign last weekend as they beat FC Groningen 2-1 at home. The summer signing Rai Vloet has scored a brace in that game, and he is now leading the club’s goalscoring charts with three goals in his five league appearances. Manchester City’s loanee Thierry Ambrose has also been in fine shape in this early part of the campaign, helping the team with two goals. Actually, scoring goals hasn’t been a problem for Breda so far this season, but their back line has been the main reason for their struggle. They have conceded 13 goals in five rounds so far this season, which is the second worst defending record in the division. Their recent away form has also let them down as they have suffered defeats in their both league trips so far this season, conceding six goals in the process. In addition, NAC Breda are winless in their last six visits to the Stadion Feijenoord since a 0-4 victory back in May 2009. The only good news is that Breda have scored at least once in three of their last five trips to the Stadion Feijenoord.

NAC Breda Team News

Robbie Haemhouts, Olivier Rommens, Chiro N’Toko and Paolo Fernandes are all doubts, but Bodi Brusselers and Fabian Sporkslede are both back in training.
