FC Dallas vs San Jose Earthquakes Match Prediction

By Gary Gillles

FC Dallas extended their unbeaten run, but manager with Oscar Pareja would be disappointed with the 1-1 draw with New York City at the Toyota stadium. Kellyn Acosta provided the home team with a lead after just 20 minutes, but Thomas McNamara levelled the game in the second half. San Jose Earthquakes were involved in yet another home draw, as Orlando City snatched a 1-1 draw at the Avaya stadium. The last 10 minutes of the game witnessed Orlando City taking the lead through Carlos Rivas, but San Jose equalised through Chris Wondolowski.

Betting Tips and Predictions

FC Dallas are unbeaten in the nine league matches, and they head into the next game searching for a first win in three home games. The club has only managed two wins in the last five league matches. In the last four away matches, San Jose Earthquakes have managed a solitary win – against newcomers Minnesota United – and failed to score in three other games. FC Dallas have won two out of the last three meetings with San Jose Earthquakes at the Toyota stadium. I would back a Dallas win. San Jose Earthquakes have not scored in three out of the last four away games, but Dallas have kept only two clean sheets in the five home matches. In the last six meetings between the two teams, both teams have scored in five games. I would back both teams to score.

FC Dallas Preview

FC Dallas extended their unbeaten run, but Oscar Pareja will not be pleased with his team managing just two wins in the last five league matches. As a result, Dallas are three points behind Sporting Kansas City, even though they have three games in hand. After opening the campaign with three consecutive wins at the Toyota stadium, Dallas have managed draws in the last two home games. The club, though, are the only team yet to suffer a defeat in the 2017 MLS season. Maximiliano Urruti is the top scorer with six goals in eight league games.

FC Dallas Team News

Mauro Diaz (Achilles tendon) and Paxton Pomykal (ankle) are the players unavailable for FC Dallas.

San Jose Earthquakes Preview

San Jose Earthquakes were once again unable to get the maximum points from a home game, as they were involved in a third 1-1 draw in the last four games at the Avaya stadium in San Jose. The club has been let down heavily by the away form, which has seen them manage just one win and a goalless draw in the six games. At home, San Jose’s form is considerably better and the team are unbeaten in the six home games. Yet, they have failed to win three out of the last four home games. Chris Wondolowski is the San Jose Earthquakes top scorer with five league goals, and he has three goals in his last two games.

San Jose Earthquakes Team News

Marc Pelosi (knee), Quincy Amarikwa (knee), Marvell Wynne (heart), Shea Salinas (knee), and Harold Cummings (hernia) are the players unavailable for San Jose Earthquakes due to injuries.
