Everton vs Swansea City Match Prediction

By Marius Hrebenciuc

Everton will be aiming to continue their good run of form in the Premier League when they welcome Swansea at the Goodison Park on Monday night. Everton managed a narrow 0-1 victory on the road at Newcastle last time out thanks to an early goal from Wayne Rooney. On the other hand, Swansea got thrashed 0-4 at home by Manchester City, with Paul Clemen’s men conceding two goals in each half. Below we have our betting tips, predictions, team news, match stats and odds all in our SBAT preview. Feel free to visit our Bet of the day page to check our best daily tips.

Betting Predictions and Tips

I’m confident that Everton will continue their recent good form and will grab another victory here. The Toffees have been flying high of late, while Swansea have recorded back-to-back defeats in their last five away games across all competitions. Everton have won their last three home league fixtures, conceding just twice in the process.

Everton Preview

Everton have been flying high since the appointment of Sam Allardyce a fortnight ago. The Toffees are currently on a five-game unbeaten streak across all competitions, winning four in the process. They drew 1-1 against Liverpool at Anfield last week and followed this up with a narrow 0-1 victory against Newcastle at the weekend. This lifts Everton in 10th position in the Premier League table tied on 22 points with the 9th-placed Watford, nine points of the top five. The bad thing is that Everton still hold one of the worst defensive records in the division with 29 goals conceded in 17 rounds. At the other end of the field, Everton managed to find the back of the net on 21 occasions. Wayne Rooney is the man to watch for the Toffees, as the veteran striker is leading the club’s goalscoring charts with nine goals in 15 league appearances. At the Goodison Park, Everton have won their last three games in the Premier League, scoring nine goals and conceding just two in the process. The bad news is that Everton are winless in their last three home meetings with Swansea in the Premier League.

Everton Team News

Leighton Baines and Maarten Stekelenburg are both doubts, while Ramiro Funes Mori and Ross Barkley are both missing through injury. The good news is that James McCarthy and Seamus Coleman are both back in training.

Swansea City Preview

Swansea are in real danger of being relegated at the end of this season, as it seems after Gylfi Sigurdsson’s departure this summer they don’t have enough to compete in the Premier League. The Swans are rock bottom of the league table with 12 points after 17 rounds, two points behind safety. They looked terrible in front of goal throughout the season, as they hold the worst attacking record in the division with just nine goals under his belt. Chelsea loanee Tammy Abraham has been Swansea’s most prolific player in front of goal so far this season, providing four goals and one assists for the team. Their recent away form has also been dreadful as the Swans have lost their last five league trips, scoring just twice in the process. The positive fact is that Swansea are undefeated in the last three visits to the Goodison Park, registering two draws and one win in this term. Overall, Swansea are unbeaten in seven meetings with Everton across all competitions since a 3-2 loss at Goodison Park back in 2014.

Swansea City Team News

Ryan Blair, Bony Wilfried and Wayne Routledge are all doubts, but Kyle Bartley is back in training.
