Everton vs Fulham Match Prediction

By Bharath Ramm R

Everton lost for a second consecutive league match as Arsenal secured a 2-0 win in the recent meeting at the Emirates Stadium. Alexandre Lacazette’s finish in the 56th minute helped break the deadlock, while Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang was on hand to ensure a comfortable finish for Arsenal just three minutes later. Fulham could only draw 1-1 with Watford in their latest league match. Andre Gray put Watford up after just two minutes but Fulham clawed back into the game through Aleksandar Mitrovic’s late finish. In the midweek action, Fulham beat rivals Millwall 3-1 at the Den.

Here we have our SBAT match preview with all the best predictions, betting tips and match stats.

Betting Tips and Predictions

Fulham have a horrendous record at Goodison Park after having never picked up a league victory on this ground in their history. Yet, they travel to the ground with hope of inflicting a second consecutive home defeat on the blues. Marco Silva will be very keen on preventing his team from losing three on the bounce. This may result in a conservative tactic from the manager, who has also witnessed Fulham’s threat on the counter-attack – even in the recent game against Watford. My pick for the match would be to opt for a stalemate.

Both teams will look to cancel out each other and improve their defensive record in the game. However, they have had a tendency to go through some big scores in the past and may go through the same phenomena once again judging by the defensive lapses shown in the first six matches. I would pick over 2.5 goals in the match.

Everton Preview

It has been a tough start to the campaign for Everton, who are hoping that the arrival of Marco Silva inspires them to a top-10 finish once again. However, the return of just one victory from the first six games of the campaign does not inspire hope. Silva will point out to the string of injury problems faced by his team since the start of the campaign. Rather than excuses, the manager has to put the focus on the next two league matches, which are certainly winnable before the team heads into the next international break in October. Richarlison tops the scoring charts at Everton after managing three league goals.

Everton Team News

Yerry Mina (ankle), Phil Jagielka (knee), Seamus Coleman (foot), and Beni Baningime (ankle) are unavailable for Marco Silva’s men.

Fulham Preview

Fulham may have spent a huge sum of money in the summer but Slavisa Jokanovic is learning that the Premier League is a hard place to get results without a great defence. Despite having produced some impressive play so far this season, Fulham have been let down by a defence that has conceded the second-highest tally (13 goals) so far this campaign. Yet, there have also been positives like the impact of Aleksandar Mitrovic, who is emerging as a complete centre forward in the division. The 24-year-old is level with Eden Hazard at the top of the league’s scoring charts with five goals.

Fulham Team News

Tom Cairney (ankle) and Neeskens Kebano (ankle) are the players missing from action for Fulham.
