Everton suffered a third consecutive away defeat as the team were thrashed 5-1 by Arsenal during the weekend. Aaron Ramsey came up with a hat-trick, while Laurent Koscielny and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang were able to add further goals to provide a comprehensive win for the Arsenal. Crystal Palace were able to get a 1-1 draw with Newcastle United to stay clear of the drop. Newcastle opened the scoring in the 22nd minute through Mohamed Diame. Crystal Palace were handed a penalty in the second half and Luka Milivojevic made no mistakes from the spot.

The Everton team are desperate to arrest a run of poor results. Crystal Palace have been able to get just two away victories this season. Remarkably, Everton have been unable to beat Crystal Palace at home in four attempts. After having come in with some poor performances of late, Everton do not look capable of getting a victory in this match. Palace have the potential to come away with a draw.
