Everton vs Crystal Palace Match Prediction

By Bharath Ramm R

Everton made it back-to-back league wins after beating Leicester City 2-1 at the King Power Stadium before heading to the international break. Richarlison’s opener after just seven minutes was cancelled out by Ricardo Pereira in the 40th minute. Gylfi Sigurdsson, though, continued his recent form by coming up with the winner in the 77th minute, but Everton did capitalise on West Morgan’s sending off in the 63rd minute. Crystal Palace lost for a second consecutive match day as Wolves picked up a 1-0 victory at Selhurst Park. Matt Doherty provided the only goal of the game for Nuno’s men.

Here we have our SBAT match preview with all the best predictions, betting tips and match stats.

Betting Tips and Predictions

Crystal Palace have been without a victory over Everton since 2014 and they are unlikely to get anything out of this game considering that the blues are on a good run of form, while Palace are already missing some key players. The absence of Zaha is a huge blow for Roy Hodgson, as his pace and creativity may help get Crystal Palace something on the counter-attack. As it stands, the form of Richarlison and Sigurdsson may be sufficient for helping Everton to a third consecutive league win.

Gylfi Sigurdsson has been in exceptional form over the last few weeks. The 29-year-old has been able to get four goals in his last four games for Everton. Crystal Palace saw Sigurdsson open the scoring when they last travelled to Goodison Park and I would back Sigurdsson to score anytime in the game.

Everton Preview

Everton have done well to pick up back-to-back league victories and they cannot have come at a better time for the blues. Marco Silva was coming under increasing pressure over the last few weeks. Now, these victories will hold Everton in good stead going into tricky games against the likes of Manchester United and Chelsea before the next international break. The blues have been able to profit heavily from the form of Gylfi Sigurdsson, who is finally starting to repay the £45 million paid last summer. Richarlison is also back among the goals to further aid Everton.

Everton Team News

Seamus Coleman (foot), Yerry Mina (ankle), Andre Gomes (hamstring), Fraser Hornby (ankle), and Idrissa Gueye (ankle) unavailable for Everton.

Crystal Palace Preview

Crystal Palace have been unable to extend the wonderful streak of results, as back-to-back defeats have put the club back in square one. It does not get easier for Palace going into the next five games, as they face only teams that finished in the top six last season. Palace have been able to build only a four-point advantage over the bottom three and it may not be surprising to witness the club back in the relegation zone before the next international break. A huge problem for Palace in the upcoming weeks would be the absence of Wilfried Zaha, who has been the shining light for the club. The lack of goals from Christian Benteke remains a huge headache for Roy Hodgson.

Crystal Palace Team News

Wilfried Zaha (groin) and Christian Benteke (knee) are the only injury concerns for Palace.
