Estonia vs Bosnia and Herzegovina Match Prediction

By Marius Hrebenciuc

Estonia and Bosnia & Herzegovina will be facing each other at the A. Le Coq Arena on Tuesday night, with the visitors still searching for the second place in the World Cup qualifying group H table. Estonia managed a comfortable 0-6 away victory over the minnows Gibraltar last time out thanks to a hat-trick from Joonas Tamm and three other goals from Sergei Zenjov, Mattias Kait and Siim Luts. On the other hand, Bosnia & Herzegovina suffered a narrow 3-4 home loss at the hands of Belgium on Saturday, with Haris Medunjanin, Edin Visca and Dario Dumic all getting on the scoresheet. Below we have our betting tips, predictions, team news, match stats and odds all in our SBAT preview.

Betting Predictions and Tips

Although they have small hopes to secure the second spot in this group, Bosnia still have plenty of quality within their squad and they should be able to grab three points here. They have won the last three meetings with Estonia, scoring 14 goals and conceding none in the process. It should be goals in this one as they managed to find the back of the net at least twice in each of their last three away games across all competitions.

Estonia Preview

Estonia’s form over the past year has been impressive as they have only lost once in their last nine games across all competitions. The Estonians are currently on a four-game unbeaten streak across all competitions, including a 0-6 victory on the road at Gibraltar last time out. Estonia looked solid at the back over the past seven months, as they have kept a clean sheet in four of their last five qualifiers. Despite their good run of form over the past few months, Estonia have already been eliminated from this World Cup qualifying campaign as they currently sit only in 4th spot in the standings, already five points behind the second-placed Greece. Estonia did well to score 12 goals in nine rounds throughout this qualification process, but their back line has let them down. They have conceded 17 goals so far, which is the group’s second-worst defensive record. On home soil, the Estonians have endured a mixed run of form over the past year, registering three defeats, three draws and four wins in their last ten games across all competitions. In addition, Estonia have only won once in their three home meetings with Bosnia & Herzegovina across all competitions.

Estonia Team News

There are no fresh injury concerns for Estonia ahead of this trip.

Bosnia and Herzegovina Preview

Meanwhile, Bosnia & Herzegovina’s recent form in this World Cup qualifying campaign has been a complete mixed run of form, registering two defeats, one draw and one win in their last four qualifiers. They picked up a comfortable 0-4 away win over the minnows Gibraltar back in September, but they suffered a dramatic 3-4 home loss at the hands of Belgium on Saturday. This leaves them in third spot in the group H table with just 14 points under their belts after nine games, two points behind the second-placed Greece. They could still come second in this group, but they need Gibraltar to get a positive result in Greece for that to happen, which is unlikely. Furthermore, the Bosnians’ away form throughout this qualifying campaign has been terrible as they have only won once in their four away qualifiers. The good news is that Bosnia & Herzegovina picked up two victories in their three visits to Estonia, scoring at least two goals in each of these. Head-to-head, the Bosnians have won their last three meetings with Estonia in World Cup qualifications, scoring 14 goals and conceding none in this term. Edin Dzeko has been Bosnia’s most prolific player going forward throughout this campaign, helping the team with five goals and one assist in his eight appearances.

Bosnia and Herzegovina Team News

Miralem Pjanic is still missing through injury, but Haris Medunjanin is back in the team.
