Deportivo La Coruna vs Real Betis Match Prediction

By Bharath Ramm R

Deportivo La Coruna fell to a disastrous 5-0 thumping at the hands of Real Sociedad in the recent La Liga match. At half-time, the 32nd minute goal from Willian Jose was the only difference between the two clubs. Yet, La Coruna collapsed in the second half as Illarramendi (2), Aritz Elustondo, and Canales scored for the hosts. Real Betis produced a surprise 2-1 win over Villarreal to end a run of back-to-back losses. Daniele Bonera received a straight red card in the 31st minute. Loren Moron scored either side of the break to provide Real Betis with a lead. Even though the hosts conceded in the 80th minute through Carlos Bacca’s penalty, Quique Setien’s team held on for a win.

Here we have our SBAT match preview with all the best predictions, betting tips and match stats.

Betting Tips and Predictions

The appointment of a new manager called act in favour of Deportivo La Coruna, who have managed just one win over Real Betis in the last six attempts. Crucially, this victory came at the Riazor. Real Betis have lost three out of the last five away games. Betis have been rather unpredictable and quite inconsistent this season, but their last victory at the Riazor was back in 2012. I would go with a win for Deportivo La Coruna. Real Betis matches have been extremely entertaining with plenty of goals at both ends. Deportivo La Coruna have conceded 20 goals in the last six games. All of the last five meetings between these two teams at the Riazor has witnessed goals. I would expect over 2.5 goals in this match.

Deportivo La Coruna Preview

Deportivo La Coruna suffered yet another thrashing on the road. Just when it seemed that the 7-1 loss against Real Madrid could not get any worse, Deportivo La Coruna have suffered another heavy defeat against a team just a couple of places above them in the table. The poor run has led to the sacking of Cristobal Parralo, who was appointed only in October, from his position. Clarence Seedorf, who has had a couple of failed spells in the past, has been named as the new coach. Florin Andone is the top scorer at the club with six goals.

Deportivo La Coruna Team News

Bicho (shoulder), Sidnei (thigh), Pedro Mosquera (groin), and Bruno Gama (stomach) are the names unavailable for Deportivo La Coruna.

Real Betis Preview

Real Betis were mightily relieved to get the win over Villarreal, although they needed a huge assistance in the form of Bonera’s red card. After having conceded eight goals in the previous two La Liga matches, Real Betis were fearing for the worst when top-four chasing Villarreal were in town. The victory over the Yellow Submarines means that Real Betis have not been too shabby in the last six matches, as the team has picked up a decent nine points. Antonio Sanabria and Sergio Leon are the top scorers at the club with seven goals each.

Real Betis Team News

Antonio Sanabria (meniscus), Joel Campbell (knee), and Zouhair Feddal are the injury concerns for Real Betis coming into this match, while manager Setien will be without Antonio Barragan due to suspension.
