Crotone vs Torino Match Prediction

By William Hall

Crotone looks as if they are starting to turn their season around as they welcome high-flying Torino to Stadio Ezio Scida this weekend in Serie A. After four defeats and a draw in Crotone opening five matches they were struggling. However, with a win over bottom of the league Benevento and a draw away to SPAL, the side look as if they have got back on track. Torino have had an excellent start to the season, losing just one game up to now. A disappointing draw to Hellas Verona last time out will see them come out wanting a reaction this weekend which could make this an entertaining game to watch. Read on for a full match preview complete with all our best predictions, betting tips and match stats.

Betting Tips and Predictions

Crotone had a terrible start to the season, but with two straight positive results, they could pose a significant threat to Torino this weekend. However, Torino have lost just one game this season and will see this as a game that they should be winning. Although they will be without their leading striker this weekend, they should have enough in the squad to be able to get a good result this weekend. 26-year-old Adem Ljajic has impressed so far this season scoring three goals for the club. If he keeps this up throughout the season, he could be on for his best season after previously scoring ten. After throwing away a two goals lead in their last game, Torino will be looking for a big response this weekend, and against a Crotone teams who in whole have been poor this season, they should be able beat them well if they are at their best. Here are my favourite betting tips and predictions for the Crotone v Torino game.

Crotone Preview

As mentioned, Crotone had the worse possible start to the season with four defeats and a draw in their opening five games. But with a win and a draw in their last couple of games, it has got them out the bottom three of the league which may see them start to play with a bit more confidence. Although the win and draw came against sides near the bottom of the table, it is still good for the spirit within the squad. It's been a lack of goals which has hurt the side this season, being able to hit the back of the net just four times so far. Two of them came in one game meaning they have already had four games already this season where they have been unable to hit the back of the net. Crotone opponents this weekend have been leaking quite a few this season which may open the door for the home side, but they must be at their best to get anything from this one.

Crotone Team News

Crotone have just two players who could miss the game this weekend with Aleksander Tonev (muscle injury) and Marco Tumminello (ACL) recovering from injuries.

Torino Preview

Torino have had a great start to the season, losing just one game so far, winning three and drawing the other three. Goals hasn't been a problem for the side this season, managing to score in every game so far bar one. It has been the defence which has stopped them pushing on even further having already seen eleven goals beat them. Torino's last game at home to Hellas Verona would have been very frustrating for the side after leading 2-0 at halftime. A sloppy final few minutes from Torino opened the door for Hellas Verone as the away team that day scored goals in the 87th and 92nd minutes to win a point. Andrea Belotti has once again been the sides star player scoring three goals already this season. The player got a lot of interest over the summer from large clubs in Europe, but thankfully for Torino, they were able to keep him. The bad news for the side is that he is currently recovering from a knee injury which is going to keep him out until early November.

Torino Team News

Torino have five players who look as they will miss the trip to Crotone with Lerenzo De Silverstri (hip injury), Joel Chukwuma Obi (muscle injury), Afriyie Acquauah (muscle injury) Antonio Barreca (thigh injury) and Andrea Bellotti (knee injury). Bellotti is a huge miss for the side.
