Betting Predictions and Tips

It should be another comfortable victory for Chelsea here as they have been a strong side at the Stamford Bridge so far this season and they also hold a near perfect head-to-head home record against Stoke. Meanwhile, Stoke have only won once in their eleven away games across all competitions so far this season, and are currently on a five-game winless run.

Chelsea Preview

Chelsea haven’t enjoyed such a spectacular football over the past few months, but they still managed to grab several points in the process. The Blues have only lost twice in their last 15 games across all competitions and head into this tie on the back of a five-game unbeaten streak. After a disappointing nil-nil draw on the road at Everton last weekend, Chelsea bounced back with a 2-0 home victory over Brighton on Tuesday. This means that they still sit third in the league table with 42 points after 20 rounds, just one point behind the second-placed Manchester United. Conte’s men looked very well-organized at the back throughout this Premier League campaign, having conceded just 14 goals in 20 league games. This is the second best defensive record in the division, as only Manchester City have allowed fewer goals than the Blues. At home, Chelsea have only lost one of their last 15 competitive fixtures and are currently on a six-game winning streak in the Premier League. In addition, the Blues are undefeated in eleven home meetings with Stoke across all competitions, keeping seven clean sheets in the process.

Chelsea Team News

Baba Rahman and David Luiz are still out through injury, while Charly Musonda is a doubt.

Stoke City Preview

Stoke, on the contrary, have been struggling for consistency throughout this Premier League campaign. Their form over the past month has seen them lose five, draw three and win just two of their last ten games in the Premier League. They did well to beat West Brom 3-1 at home last weekend, but only managed a 1-1 draw on the road at the newcomers Huddersfield in midweek. This leaves Stoke in 13th spot in the league table with 20 points to their name after 20 rounds, just three point clear of the bottom three. Keeping the ball out of their own net has been Stoke’s main issue throughout the season, as they hold the worst defensive record in the division with 41 goals conceded in 20 games. Their away form has also been a problem as Stoke have only won once in their eleven competitive trips so far this season. In addition, they are winless in eleven visits to the Stamford Bridge and have failed to score in seven of these. Maxim Choupo-Moting, Mame Diouf and Xherdan Shaqiri have been Stoke’s most prolific players in front of goal so far this season, as the attacking trio have bagged 12 goals and ten assists between them.

Stoke City Team News

Glen Johnson, Erik Pieters and Ryan Shawcross are all doubts, but Bruno Martins Indi and Stephen Ireland are still on the sidelines due to injury.
