Betting Tips and Predictions
There’s a real lack of cohesion at Chelsea at this moment in time, with Antonio Conte appearing to be somewhat blasé to ongoings. Newcastle themselves aren’t flying at this moment in time, but I can see them getting a shock result at Stamford Bridge.

Chelsea Preview
Chelsea crashed out of the EFL Cup at the penultimate stage on Wednesday evening, following a 2-1 second-leg defeat to Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium. It appeared the impetus was with the visiting side early on, as Chelsea took a deserving lead after 7 minutes when Eden Hazard opened the scoring and should have been further ahead following a dominant 20 minute spell. However, Antonio Rudiger’s own goal brought the Gunners back on level terms, before Granit Xhaka scored Arsenal’s winner on the hour mark with a poked finish inside the box. Losing Willian after 30 minutes appeared to really take the wind out of Chelsea’s sails, with the Brazilian linking up well initially with Hazard and Pedro. Ross Barkley was uninspiring off the bench, with Antonio Conte’s post-game remarks on the midfielder making it extremely questionable as to whether he actually wanted the player at Stamford Bridge. Winning just one of their last seven games in all competitions in 90 minutes, it has been an extremely frustrating spell for the Blues, who will now see this as a must-win contest, not only to return to form but also to avoid further fixture congestion. Chelsea were forced into a replay in their last FA Cup tie - going to penalties in doing so - as well as going through all the rounds of the EFL Cup, and have the small matter of a double-header against Barcelona to come.
Chelsea Team News
Thibaut Courtois (ankle), Cesc Fabregas, Willian (both hamstring) and Alvaro Morata are all struggling with knocks ahead of this fixture.
Newcastle United Preview
Newcastle ran into Manchester City - and more specifically, Sergio Aguero - at the wrong time last weekend, as the Premier League leaders won 3-1 during their meeting at the Etihad Stadium. Coming into the game with a point to prove after a first league defeat to Liverpool the week before, Aguero was the catalyst for the three points, putting City two goals to the good by the 63rd minute with a goal in each half. Jacob Murphy gave Newcastle hope with an excellent solo effort four minutes later, but Aguero completed his hat-trick seven minutes from time to ensure the hosts would remain 12 points clear at the top of the table. As for Newcastle, they remain just a point above the relegation zone in 15th, as the scrap for survival intensifies at the bottom of the Premier League table. Winning three of their last seven in all competitions, drawing and losing two apiece of the other four, Newcastle have managed to halt what was previously their most difficult period of the season. Rafa Benitez has earned a reputation for being something of a specialist in cup competitions and nothing would please the Spaniard more than to deliver the first major piece of silverware the Magpies have won since 1955 - that coming in the FA Cup.
Newcastle United Team News
Florian Lejeune (foot), Jesus Gamez (ankle) and Chancel Mbemba (knee) are all set to miss out for Newcastle.
