Burnley vs AFC Bournemouth Match Prediction

Burnley v Bournemouth Match Preview

Burnley welcome Bournemouth to Turf Moor on the 10/12/2016 in the Premier League. Burnley come into this game of the back of three straight defeats which would have hit them hard after the start they had, but they will see this as a game where they can get back to winning ways. Bournemouth have been a bit hit and miss so far this season but do come into this game of the back of a very impressive 4-3 win over Liverpool which would have filled them with confidence. Our SBAT preview will bring you a form guide, team news and betting preview.

Burnley Preview

Burnley will be so disappointed with how the last few weeks have gone and now find themselves just three points above the bottom three. Defeats to West Brom, Manchester City and Stoke, would have had an effect on the spirits around the place at the moment. However, they will know what they are capable of as they showed that they were good enough for this league at the beginning of the season. Sam Vokes has been the main man for Burnley this season, scoring four goals and assisting two. Him staying fit will be crucial for Burnley if they are going to firstly stay in the league come the end of the season. If you take away his four goals, the side would have scored just eight, which isn't enough for any side. Bar Hull, they have the worst scoring record in the league and are also up there with the worst defensive records. For me, they need to bring in some new players in the next transfer window if they are to get the points on the board come the end of the season. With them only on 14 points after the same amount of games, my worry is that they won't have the quality in the latter stages of the season to be able to pick up the points they will so desperately need. Their last game in which they lost 2-0 away to Stoke, they didn't show any fight, which was poor to see from a side that play so well when they are confident. The two first half goals killed the momentum of the side massively which they really cannot afford to do regularly.

Sam Vokes to score anytime here!

Bournemouth Preview

Bournemouth come into this game off the back of a massive result as they came from 3-1 down, to go and beat Liverpool 4-3 on home turf. The confidence they would have taken from that will be massive and something they can now take into the next few games. But as weeks have shown, this side are very hit and miss, they do tend to mess it up after a win. The consistency in this side needs to improve if they are to start to challenge for a top half of the table finish season after season. It is going to be hard to achieve if they do not bring in players who can play at this level. Jack Wilshere has proven to be an outstanding loan signing for the club, and he was a crucial player in the sides last result. But he will most likely be on his way back after this loan spell, and they will them have to fill that gap which another top player. This is a game they will be looking at and thinking this is the chance to get some back to back wins under their belts and start pushing up the Premier League table. But they will know not to take Burnley for granted, because if they play well, they are a very tough side to beat, especially at home. Callum Wilson has got back to the form we all remember him, scoring five goals this season, also assisting one. If he can start to pop up more often for the Cherries, he will be a very important player in the future of this football club.

Burnley Team News

Burnley are injury free, by Dean Marney and Matthew Lowton will need to be careful having picked up four bookings already this season, one more will be a match ban.

Bournemouth Team News

Bournemouth have just one player out for this game with Lewis Cook suffering with an ankle injury.

Betting Predictions and Tips

I can see this being a very tight, scrappy and competitive match between two sides who want the points to get as far away from the bottom three as they can. With Burnley coming into this one of the back of three straight defeats, they will be desperate to get something from this one.
